We can also finish the ogre at range thanks to our ranged casters, if needs be.

That was kinda my thought. For RP reasons, Grock is going to try and bring the ogre to their side. Basically showing it that Grock has been through a similar slave experience before and letting it go free. If it decides to attack Grock then it can be slain.

Let me handle that - as for that, I have been pondering into using ritualistic magic more - which could aid you a great deal.
Basically if you having the feet, you can cast rituals selected without cost for instance. It is not a fool proof plan but would allow you to use utility and also have more RP tools for this.
It could be seen as a blessing from your deity etc, but again, it is mainly for me to allow you more tools to shine. Most rituals are utility anyways...but I will let you decide here, if I am being silly for considering this in the first place...

I dig rituals, but I have to admit that they weren't integrated well with the rest of the game. Unless an adventure is designed around their use, they can usually be done without entirely. In my experience it's not cost that's the obstacle, but just finding where they'd be useful at all.

Anybody else speak Giant or have a way to give me a bonus to my +2 Diplomacy?

If the ogre has any injuries, Dral could try seeing to those with a Heal check.

The only injury it has is when Grock threw a stone at it.

I should be able to at least smile or gesture at him to assist. DM, is that allowable? A non-verbal Diplomacy assist?

And have we established that it really doesn't speak Common?

That's the only HP loss it has, but if it has been enslaved and mistreated then it probably has other injuries not accounted for by HP. Chafing from the chain, for instance. Or lashes from a whip.

But Dral doesn't really have any bandages or anything. He should pick some up some time.

I will allow it; simply because I want to support good ideas, rather than hanging in mechanics - so yes, +2 is allowed.
