Winterhaven - Revisited.

The road back is long. Along the roads you see young farmers, armed with simple weaponry and armor laying next to slain hobgoblins. There has been a war and for some time. The air is moist, damp even and the first hints of a changing season hangs in the air. It is bright outside as you leave behind the ruins of the keep and wonder what is next.

You arrive in town and many villagers look with amazement at you.
You notice the head of the watch, Rolf Kelfem stand next to the head of town, Lord Padraig and also that Sister Linora, speak eager to a man, with shoulder long brown hair and a deep look, dressed in a manner that sets him apart from the rest. Obviously of skill and prowess he sticks out as you do - as an adventurer.
The lord raises an arm and turns to you.
"The heroes of the keep return!!!"
You notice the reserve watch is still cleaning up broken vases, and parts of the town and are covering of sand filled with blood and grime.
The lord Beckons you over.
"Speak, do you bear good news?"
Linora speaks calmly to the man, and the word Bloodreavers is heard at least once, causing a reaction from both.

A man comes to his side and the Lord before you speak insist to have long tables placed in the town square for a feast for all, as thanks to Thair, the in flow of food and supplies is growing.

The brown-haird man turns his bright green eyes toward the returning heroes. He has a heavy shield slung across his back, but seems to bear no weapon save a slender, elegant-looking dagger. He watches and waits while the heroes share their story.

Winterhaven - Revisited.

WArfryn is nervous.  He is convinced that the rod he got from Kalarel will lead to only bad things but the time for doing something about it is not now.

With an obvious sign of reluctance he placed himself at the front of the small returning group.

"Sirs!  We have good news tinged with sad.  The beast Kalarel is no more, the portal he was trying to open has been sealed and the immediate danger is past."

He paused and continued with an effort.

"But as you can see we have lost some of our group.  I am desolated to have to inform you of the loss of my companions Vynthear, Stahl and Saskan.  They fell in battle with the minions of the fiend and we should remember them in our hearts and in our prayers."

OOC: Not sure how to deal with the changes in the party.  I can edit if desired.

Winterhaven - Revisited.

Padraig shrugged.
"Sad news, but a celebration is in order non the less. Say...Greyband, you spoke of a threat which we also heard of in conjuction with the outing of Ninaren, the hunter who betrayed us, along with Bairwin the shopkeeper, whom were aligned with slavetraders and murderers near the mountains...the Bloodreavers right?"
Rolf bit his tongue and appeared angry or rather stern in his mimicking.
"People have been vanishing and our farmers are in fear. You are all capable, and following this feast I urge, and ask you to take the task of finding these pests and rid them once and for all. We do not have much yet, as our trade routes still are somewhat hampered but anything you find during your ventures, you can keep.."

He throws a letter on a table.
Read it here..we found this on a patrol near town.
"Greetings, Kalarel. I have recently learned of your activity in the area and have an offer for you.
During your time in this region, if you should capture any humanoids, we are eager to buy them. We have duergar allies in Thunderspire in need of slave stock. If you are interested, send an envoy back to me. My messengers will show the way.”
It is signed: “Chief Krand of the Bloodreavers.”

The lord nods.
"The dark dwarves are an interesting pawn in this. Seek them out in the Thunderspire and perhaps they can aid you along. The threat is real and we need your aid."
He eyes the group, including Greyband in his observations.
