Re: Well of demons

Saskan moved over with ease and without incident and Grock while waiting patiently, saw no change to what happened, so for now, he could remain calm.

Re: Well of demons

A sudden gust of wind, expose what is beyond the drape as it blows open.
You see an altar that is crafted from brass.
It is flanked by gray stone statues of minotaurs. You notice an indentation of a minotaur-sized hand on the altar.
On each side of the altar you notice a large skeleton with a weapon in hand standing as statue. No movement, no reactions.
On the altar you also notices a mask carved from black wood.

You assume you can enter freely, as the teleportation mirror for now is not in effect..

Roland stays put. <goldenrod>"Everyone gather over here. We see an altar that is crafted from brass, flanked by some statues, with a really big hand-print on the altar. There's a mask on the altar, which is almost certainly what we came here for.

"Everyone get over in sight of me and then we'll proceed together."

To accelerate things: everyone will gather by Roland & Dral; Grock will keep breaking mirrors on the way.

Re: Well of demons

Moving up, Grock smashes a mirror with ease, only for a bolt of aetherial energy to strike out as he does!
Grock is knock back a bit but is no worse for wear.
(Take 6 psionic damage)
As he moved more north, along with the rest he struck two more mirrors(M, M), feeling the lure of both again. The ground and dirt beneath his feet begins to get sucked closer to the broken mirror, and at first he manages to fight the sensation, but the second sweeps him of his feet, and with a sudden rush, thrusts him towards the mirror, where an image of a crazed gnoll appear. Grock tries to avert the image in his mind.
(Ref attack his, will fails -  Grock takes 8 damage more)

There is now a path clear, against the left wall all the way to the altar.

Having seen a statue come to life earlier, Dral is wary. He keeps himself between the nearest statue and his allies. "I believe we should also destroy these statues before they act against us."

True to his word, he will follow the others in to examine the area formerly behind the curtain.

Re: Well of demons

Grock fires shot after shot and quickly finds the room, broken and covered in shards of glass.
As each mirror breaks a spirit howls in anguish and it is released, but due to distance no effect is felt on Grock this time around.
The altar lays dormant, silent and prepared for anyone to come near it.

When Grock is in position, Dral gives him a nod so they can attack the two statues at the same time. Dral walks straight up to his and tries to break its arms off first.

Re: Well of demons

As you close in, the bones comes to life, their hollow skulls emitting a dark energy within as they strike out at the closest to them.
They snarl, as if a voice was within them and swing wildly.
Dral saw a blow fly wildly past him, while Grock felt the scimitar brush off his armor without much worry. They meant it, but had nothing to show for it.
