Well, several ways.
Comprehend language is a 1st level ritual and does many mages etc may have it.
If magical, Arcana would work, but otherwise its a hard nosed Intelligence to determine what it could be, but not necessarily understand it.

I will get a post up later today. Did a retrain as a Scout from Heroes of the Forgotten Kingdoms. Main difference is he will be using a double sword instead of his fists to fight with. All the same Grock flavor though.

Rynoth has the Explorer theme. Is that going to overlap a lot with Grock's new build as a ranger? (I'm also unsure what character theme Grock has, if any.)

There's certainly enough justification to switch out Rynoth's right now if we'd be duplicating things.

It won’t. His theme is pissed off ex-slave of a pirate ship who escaped. Now he just wants something to hit and rescue people who may be enslaved or oppressed or preventing that from happening. Mechanically, his theme is mobility and attacking multiple creatures in melee at once.

So, for anyone who is rebuilding/taking over a character/etc: Rynoth grants all allies a +2 power bonus to Endurance checks. It won't stack with any other power bonuses to Endurance (though I don't remember many of those), but it's always-on as long as he's in the party, no actions needed.

You'll also gain 9 temporary hit points whenever you use a magic item daily power.

Honestly, a small plot device, which is expected to give you an affect when used - the intent is that it will show you when that is. So if you are fine with this, I will use it for flavor at a later time.
