The beasts howled the second the bridges were touched as if bound to them and to ensure no one passed...alive.

Advancing the foes became visible and spread out to protect, but much to the calm of the group, they remained positioned and unable to attack at long range - for now at least.
One of them, burning with a bright blue light, howled out deep at the end, and it was as if the foes became more rapid from that point on(+5 speed next round)

Power pulsed from Rynoth's outstretched blade as he raised it toward the soon-to-be-onrushing horde. The primary charge lanced through one of the nearby wraiths, shredding its form and essence, while Khalid and Grock both found benefit from the surplus energy that Rynoth shaped and redirected. Khalid's weapon tingled in his hand as it became suffused, while Grock faintly sensed a latent warding shell snap into place around him.

Snarling, the wraiths advance - and bundled up on Grock, but the nimble and prepared monk is lightning quick - averting all strikes with ease.
The cold touch is felt by being close but nothing comes of it!

A spectre appeared, and howl at his soul, but managed not to sway the iron will of Grock either who stood as a bastion before them.

Out the side of his eyes, Grock did notice a larger, more frightening foe appear, the master of the wraiths and spectres most likely.
The presence unsettles him greatly!

Grock gave a thumbs up to Rynoth behind him and faced down the two wraiths remaining. A quick spin sent the chains of his manacles into the wraiths destroying them while sending two sling stones at their master who had come within range. A quick backflip got him out of the dreadful aura emanating from it.

The mad wraith snarled and struck out at Khalid with a howling sensation to it.
The cold blows struck at the sensation of fear within Khalid as it moved through his skin and outwards. Cold. very cold to the touch.
The specters gather and in a sickening flurry of movement, ethereal arms strike from all directions and strike both Nezumi and Grock heavily with equally disturbing touches.
Their stern or magical focus appear to dampen some of its effect but it is still felt greatly!
As one of the weakened specters approach, the furious winds from nezumi strike one down before it gets a chance to do more damage!

Grock ran around to move in between the specter and the mad wraith but the effect of the dread aura caused him to lose concentration just enough for his attack to be ineffective. Knowing retributive attacks were coming, he held up both arms to deflect them.
