Out of Character thread-

This is the standard OoC for everything not game related, where you are also not in character.

Basically if you desire to discuss in game events, rules and such.
Any questions, let me know!

Out of Character thread-

I will take the chance to write the first post here, just to shortly give an insight on what I wish to bring.

I started out here on RPOL 7/7-2006 and have been running games here constantly since 2008.
I have played 4th edition extensively but have a long running background in Dungeons and Dragons since the red box. In general I have touched everything from NWOD, Rifts, GURPS, WOD, Werewolf, MERP, Rolemaster(yikes!) and many many more, however lately being a primary WFRP 2ed Storyteller - one game still running here in its off spawned game, which started back in 2008.
I see myself as a committed and adaptable Storyteller, with his whims about him and a determination to finish what I started. Short of the game going up in flames or everyone leaving, this game won't end by my accord.

As for storytelling, I mainly use google hosted maps, with tokens, which allow for user input and movement and use combat maps with grids, as a key feature of 4E is tactical combat where placement, both voluntary and forced, is kept tracked, to ease the flow of things.

Further, I invoke and respect the ideology of 'Retraining', as again, this is numbers not personality, and purely meta if you would. If you level up and realize you are all wrong, drop me a PM and redefine yourself. Changing names and appearance is iffy, but class, stats and such is often of little importance to the general feel of the game.
I will also allow class changes but again, keeping the discussion of such for PM's.

I have provided a good deal of information but naturally the rule books, and in particular the Forgotten Realms Guide is of great use.
A note: The Gilded Lady is indeed near the Eastern edges of the Thunder peaks and Cormyr, but Highmoon, which it is near, and thus also Deepingdale, is technical part of the Region of the Dalelands if anyone wants to be a "true" local.
In essence, it is a minor thing - and how and where you met the church of Bahamut also, is for flavour and background to add the initial start of the game.

An often brought discussion is whether you know eachother or not to begin with. I will not force this, but rather allow and support it if you see even the slightest link you can work in.

In short, I welcome you all to the game, and hope that what I wish for it, will also translate well and that it will be a long, enjoyable adventure for us all.

Best regards,
Dulldreams
