"I will warn the Citadel."

Makaria nodded, reverently taking her spell glaive from its place on the wall and stepping towards the window.  Her wings unfurled behind her as she leapt out, the great abtlike things seeming to catch the very air about her and send her hurtling upward.

The Inquisitor looks a little annoyed "So much for a relaxing evening, Nyenna come to my quarters I have a your reward prepared for this task." she goes to leave but stops and turns to Orson giving him a smirk of her own "Go find whoever is missing and take them to the armoury, you'll find part of your rewards for tonights work there." and with that she storms off down the hallway.

"I'll find Xul, Nyenna. You head on down. Scope out some swag for me" Orson says as he turns on the ball of his foot and starts running through the fortress. His instincts take him to the infirmary, his best guess for where an injured lizardman likely would have gone. He reaches the doorway and scans the room for Xul.

Xul had gotten his wounds tended and was still in the infirmary a peice of meat being worked between his jaws as he looked over the meat that occupied some of the cots, turning for the door he noticed Orson coming in. "The dead meat has finished his talk with the corpse?"

In reply to Xul (msg # 21):

"Indeed he has, and we're definitely in deep. The Pelorites've been planning an attack on the inquisition, and they're going to launch it soon. We're to report down to the armory to collect our reward for the mission we just finished, and then head out to scout out their preparations and take care of them. Have you been patched up yet?"

Xul grinned heading out after Orson tapping the bandages and poultices that covered his scaled hide, "As much as they were willing to give. Still I hope there's more of those flaming creatures. The little she meat is likely to blow up the rest of those weak cult meats given half the chance."

Orson laughed at this. "You're right about that, Xul. And there'll be lots of black powder down there, so let's hope she leaves some for us, eh?" He turns to move toward the armory, waiting for Xul to follow behind.

Xul fell into step behind Orson and grinned, "We just have to remember to not be close when she does that."

Xul's wounds have been healed and he is back to full health as a result, though perhaps still a bit burnt on some scales.


The remainder of you enter the armoury in short succession, the quartermaster handing you each an ornate box marked with the insignia of the Master Inquisitor; or other office that had a hand in teaching you your current abilities and skills.

I'll be sending each of you your rewards via PM, so keep an eye out.

Markus noded to the Inquisitors who bestowed their gifts on the party. The blackguard soared with pride, and felt honored that he was chosen. In the chest before him, Markus pulled a heavy mace glowing with an internal power. It's head was shaped as that of a Ram Skull. Under the weapon a suit of Hellguard Plate lays pristine. Markus grunted in approval and began changing his armor.

Orson opens his box and, with a slight hitch in his breath, removes a beautifully worked, unadorned crossbow and a pair of boots. He lifts the crossbow and says "I've been wanting one of these babies for a good while." with a devilish grin as he imagines the use of it.

Xul opened his box curiously and rumaged inside it. Lifting from its insides were a pair of fiendish looking gauntlets which the lizard promptly slid onto either hand. Not finished Xul reached in removing a vicious looking fullblade that had more in common with a slab of unprocessed metal than it did a sword, this weapon seemed to suit the lizard mans tastes quite well as he leaned the blade against a wall and removed his kanabo tossing the iron studded club back into the box before removing his harness, adjusting the loops so he could hold the new weapon rather than the club.

Lifting his new blade he slid it ov er a scaled shoulder and into the harness and dusted off his mailed hands glancing over the others as they exchanged old for new.

Lilith pulls out a very nice looking chain shirt and a beautiful long sword with a rose design on the hilt and smiles as she examines both. Her smile isn't the mocking or vicious smile they've seen from her so far but true and unaffected.

Relessa walks in with Nyenna on her heels, her gaze falls upon each of you in turn, althoughbit lingers on those changing their armour before turning to Nyenna and giving her a wink "Hope you're all ready to get going. We've got to heretics to teach a lesson to afterall." her smile never leaves her face.

Orson nods to Relessa, putting away his herbalists kit as he finishes one of his signature toxins. "Ready when you all are" he says, itching for more action.

Xul gave a toothy grin, his mailed fingers tightening into fists as he stood ready to go. Armed with his new blade and increased strength he was looking forward to fighting another of those flaming meats, his club didn't seem to really hurt the prey last time but he was sure it would be a different tale with this new blade...

After Markus finishes adjusting his armor and donning his shield he nods to Nyenna and her companion. "We must protect the name and honor of our dark price. Where are the Intruders?" The blackguard barked.

Relessa shrugs "The High Lady and your Commander have everyone on alert for any sign of attack." she adjusts her hair and hat "But I know my place in such things, so if you all follow me we should have some more fun tonight." she turns around and walks back out the door before looking bacl over her shoulder and giving you all a wink "Come on, no time like the present after all."

As Relessa walks you all out the room and down the corridors there is the sound of a magical alram ringing throughout all your heads.

The Inquistor frowns and draws two dangerous looking guns from their holsters and turns aside, kicking open a set of double doors and goes down into a quick roll as a bolt of flame shoots over her head. On the otherside of the doors is a group of five cultists, a pair of Celestials flanking them and behind them is an open portal, presumably their point of entry and likely more shall be coming through within seconds "Well fuck, how in the Nine Hells did they get the anti teleport wards down?"

Xul grinned hauling his fullblade out of his harness and narrowed his gaze one one of the celestials, "Who cares, the prey has delivered itself to the hunters, time to kill some fiery meat..."

Xul talks a good game but seems RPOL is doing its usual response for trying to sound badass...

Orson starts, seeing the intruders. "Alright then." He says, drawing his Jian and new crossbow, silently picking his targets.

"Heretics!" Marcus bellowed in anger as he turned to face down the approaching interlopers. "You worship a false god! Your sister saw the truth and so shall you!

"Bad move, followers of the Fool. You will never leave here." Lilith snarls, fangs bared, her eyes glowing a bright red as her fangs extend.

She draws her new sword and one of her older, Drow-made swords and prepares to bathe in blood.

A little later than I planned but hopefully I'm only playing catch up for a short while this week.

As I have so many rolls to make I've been using phyiscal dice, this never makes any difference to my GMing Dice curse I might add, however here is the current order:

Okay so this took longer than I wanted to but I think I need to finish this section off before I go recruiting again.

Relessa rolls from out the cover and in quick succession she lets out a volley of shots at the first set of cultists to come into he vision; the first shot kills the target where he stands, the second shot brings one of the culists to the floor but still alive as he loses his balance, the second gun however lets out a sickeing crack and in the Inquistor narrows her eyes at it "Oh great time for you to get tempermental with me."
