Re: OOC - GodTalk
So a question and a thought for folks and the gm, do we intend to have cults or be free divinities? Or does the GM prefer to ignore that aspect of things?

With Passion (Stefan), Command (Lehava), and Music (Katrina), together with the rather unpleasant state of things in Ancalia I am certain that our pantheon can develop a cult(s) rather easily.  But then comes the next thought, if we do, do we want to form our own independent faith, or incorporate into the church of the one as 'saints' or the like(something like the valar from Lord of the Rings)?

Asking this because I've been thinking about this and wonder what the rest of you think about this.

Re: OOC - GodTalk
I was pretty much going to leave that choice up to you guys to be honest. Like you said with the words people have available you could make one fairly easily. As for incorporating into the faith that might make the whole thing easier to do, but it all depends on how you guys feel about it.

Are we going to be a pre-existing band? Should we be establishing any background ties to each other?

In reply to Katrina Moriah Adamant (msg # 32):

Stefan's got no plans for building his own faith, but I can see this sort of thing growing up around us naturally, as we bring about major, region-altering effects. As a player, it's certainly an aspect of the game that I'd be interested in playing out.

In reply to Stefan Bashaldi (msg # 35):

Agreed.

Eso will be very... Swashbuckler-esque offf the bat. Growing his own Legend is important to him (even if he did recently find himself adrift due to mutiny), but I imagine/foresee him growing into the role of wisdom and responsibility akin to Hiro on Heroes. To reflect this, his gifts are centered on Alacrity and Sword right now... with Journey and Time being his future growth goals (paid the points for a 4th Word off the bat for funsies)

Oof, this migraine can go sit on a cactus.  >.< I'll think up something around Monday.  I have work this entire weekend and it's all twelve hour shifts.

Re: OOC - GodTalk
Interesting, although journeys is a mostly non-combat word, alacrity, sword & time words have quite a bit of combination potential, I will have to evaluate Eso Tar's combat capabilities upward, that's a nasty combination there.

Not that any of us can't be dangerous, everyone has words that can do significant damage if tried and everyone has words that contain considerable non-combat potential.

As to my earlier statement..  in my general opinion, it would be better to go the 'saint' route within the church of the one, but I'm flexible, I suppose we can just let it be decided in roleplaying.

Re: OOC - GodTalk
@Eso, You're not a pre-existing band, though if you want to have some sort of tie to another character before the game starts that's fine by me.

After a while you guys will have to deal with how the people see and interact with you after you start making your changes. The town itself will probably take a bit of time to figure out what their thoughts on you guys are, but things can always be swayed ;)

Anoyone from the northern coastal regions interested in some backstory ties? (Or from ANYWHERE along the northern coast line stretching as far West as the Bleak Reach)? Eso got his "start" here as a marrooned sailor :)

That was a rough work weekend.  -stretches-  As for starting out, I want to keep Adri's past a complete mystery for now.  Should make things more interesting if/when it catches up with her.

The game post will go up later tonight, I'm just getting it all together now. Katrina, if you hadn't chosen where you trained as a Bard, perhaps you trained somewhere in Vissio and you and Stefan met up along your trip back to Ancalia?

Katrina, leaving it up to you whether you've already told Stefan anything regarding your plans or your abilities.

I'll post later at home.  Whether that's this morning or tonight depends how exhausted I am after a shower.  XD

Just a quick update. I'm currently giving Lehava a day or so before I move on without them. My current plan is to do GM posts every few days so everyone has a chance to get caught up.

That would be my fault, a combination of getting a little busy and if I'm being honest here, a little lazy. I'll have something posted sometime today or tomorrow.

Guessing this one is a wash at this point. If that changes, please PM me... Removing this from my actively monitored games for now though.
