Re: OOC: A tavern outside the universe
Uh, well for my part, I was having a bit of trouble with the reboot. Mostly because it felt like the group at large was quite happily ignoring the main purpose of coming to the forest in the first place and so I felt that there needed to be someone constantly reminding them that we weren't there for sight-seeing. So Griswold kinda became the - if not responsible - mission orientated one, which, because there was no natural evolution into it, was somewhat jarring to me. That was my failing by the way, no one else's. There was never an actual need to have anyone constantly trying to push the group towards the main mission. I just like to keep campaigns on track, for sake of the DM's sanity.
That said, it also felt like we didn't really get much done. We entered the forest, met some people, then got caught up in a storm. Its entirely possible that - given more time - I would have connected much better with it.
But yeah, happy to do whatever you want. It would be a pity to give Griswold up, if you're thinking about starting again with fresh characters, as I quite like him. But I'm fine with anything really :)
