When last we left off you guys (Alak and Lucien) had just completed a mission for a local fixer by the name of James Lukas.  You had recovered the still living brain of a weapons engineer and returned him to the Valhain  Ringworld, so he could be reimplanted into a cloned body.  You were paid well for your work, and have been at a low end space port relaxing and getting some basic maintenance done to the ship.

The Valhain ringworld

Krock and Krull, after a drunken night of karaoke, have decided to part ways.  You guys are too mild mannered for their taste.  They need something a little more.....combative to do.  They were last heard talking about mercenary work.

If there are any purchases you wish to make, let me know.  Or any other business you want to conduct.  Black market is pretty slim her, but not non-existent.

While you are there, you are approached by the Watchmen you met in Otherworld, Ayen Valior.  He's interested in the work you do, as he is trying to get a better feel for how the underworld works.  You know, the smelly parts a Castithan and Ex-slaver would know all about.

You guys are short on hands, and he's good in a fight.  Plus, you figure it might be handy to have someone with some law enforcement connections on board.

The Valhain Ring is a cosmic superstructure created by the Asgard millennia ago.  The ring is nearly one million miles wide, and completely circles their sun at distance of 95 million miles. It has a surface area approximately 3 million times that of Earth on the inside of the ring.  The ring revolves around the sun, creating the effect of gravity.  There are 20 ‘shadow squares in orbit around the sun at approximately 26 million miles.  These squares help simulate day and night cycles, and also have huge solar arrays that beam power back to the ring.  The outer side of the ring and the rim has space ports, military outposts, sensors, and scientific outposts.  There are numerous gravity generators spread through the rings surface that helps maintain the orbit.

James had you guys land at an out of the way space port, there isn't much on Valain that would be considered 'seedy' but the little town called Krangard fits the bill.  It's mid sized space port that is frequented by non-asgard.  There are numerous bars, eating establishments and other services available.

There is a decent black market going on here - you couldn't find warships, fighters, or big weapons, but most personal weapons could possibly be located in one of the shops or back alley ware houses. You might even find a rarity or two.

What equipment does Ayen have, because if he is walking around with Watchmen armor and weapons, it could raise a red flag, but if he has equipment that a bounty hunter would wear, which is most likely black market stuff, then we'll be fine

So the three of you are standing about the boarding ramp to the Blood Hound.  You notice a group of people walking by and stopping - easily noticeable because the group consists of four Thrallkin in Full tactical armor and gear, and a single human. The human approaches, and you recognize him......

James turns to the Thrallkin and either says something you cannot hear, or gestures.  The Thrallkin squad moves into position in the area round the ship.  He turns to you guys and gestures to the ship, "Shall we....?"

Once on-board the Bloodhound, Alak leads the group to the common room. James looks around, the sets a small holo emitter on the table. An image of a man is projected into the air.

"This is Reinhold Michaelson, a mid level executive in charge of research and development at a small corporation called Gen-Arms.  He's the one that hired the mercs responsible for kidnapping Lor Galhain. It was also his idea to debrain the Asgard hoping to use him as a resource for years to come. Loki Arms wants him.  We want to hire you to retrieve him, bring him back to Draconis space where he'll be brought to justice for his crimes."

"We know his current wherabouts, Havensite"

You guys have all heard of Havensite.  A century ago it was a 'wildkat' settlement.  After 50 years of self sufficiency, they were recognized as an independent colony.  They set themselves up as a planet with no extradition treaties and no tax treaties.  It became the defacto place for people to hide money in their banks, or hide people.  Havensite is no criminal underworld - it is highly legitimate and very expensive to get into.  You guys know of it because bounty hunters are illegal there.

James smiles, "The payment is 50 thousand credits, on delivery to me.  This isn't as time critical as the Galhain job, but we'd like to see a reasonable turnaround...say a couple weeks?  That should give you enough time to travel, plan, execute the plan, and return.  You have my contact information, and I'll be holding you to that hour.  If you aren't going to take the jb, I need to find someone else."

I say yes, the bounty hunters being illegal there could be an easy thing to get past, we just need some fake ID. Unless they have really good security systems or if we run into someone there, there shouldn't be to much trouble, until we get to the person we need to capture, then we'll need to improvise. Maybe within the hour we could quickly do some research on the planet and it's security, but I don't think we could get a lot within the hour

"Even IF Watchmen aren't aloud in the system, you're undercover. If You know how to do your job properly than no one will know your true identity."

You guys can all safely assume that when I talk to you, im talking down to you, but only slightly. Its just enough for you to feel a little insulted but not enough for you to retaliate physically.

Ok, you guys receive the information giving you the location of the safe house, however there is no other data about the property or area around it.

I'ts a four day hyper trip to Havensite.

Is there anything you want to do on Valhain before you depart?

There will be four people on-board the Blood Hound; Alak, Lucien, Ayen, and Dr. Carter - the Ships surgeon.
