Havensite started out as a wildcat colony almost 150 years ago. After they were recognized as an independent stellar nation, they set themselves up with banks, resorts, no extradition treaties, no tax treaties, and very few questions.....  If you had the credits that is.  It has become the place to hide your money, your research, or yourself.  Havensite has a strict 'No Bounty Hunter' law, and do not allow any law enforcement from other nations or agencies to conduct their business in Havensite space.  They have joined the League, and provide valuable banking services to the sector.
Many corporations and governments maintain compounds some as small as a few acres, some as large as big islands covering dozens of square miles.


The Havensite system is composed of 10 planets; 3 rocky worlds in the habitable zone, 5 gas giants, and 2 rocky worlds in the outer ring.  There is a slender asteroid belt between the 3rd and 4th world. Havensite is the second planet from the sun, it is a temperate planet very similar to earth standards.

Ships must approach the system from designate hyper points near the asteroid belt, and be recognized before they can approach.

Information available on the Hypernet;
Basic Planetary map is available, as well as maps of the major cities
Military; They have a Small fleet of medium and small vessels that patrol their system, basically equivalent to the coast guard.
Police force; Single planetary police force that includes air and naval resources for patrol and enforcement
Weapons; Military grade
Culture; Corporate would be the best description. The planet offers specialized financial services to high paying corporate agents.  They do not deal with organized crime.

Something else that also shows up in a basic search of the planet is that you can't make planet-fall without some sort of legitimate business to conduct, you are a current paying customer, or you are a property owner.  Any other ships that approach will be contacted before they land and ask their business.  If you are a potential customer, they will charge a 10k fee just to land and talk to a banker.  You will be met when you land, there will be several hours of paperwork to fill out and you will be provided temporary visas for very specific parts of the planet.

Alak brings the Blood Hound along a small river, and tucks her in as gently as he can under the high rising tree canopy.  Once down, he shuts down all systems, the cloak last, in order to avoid detection.

You guys are out in the wilderness, the nearest city is well over 500 miles away.  The forest starts making regular forest type sounds after a few minutes - Birds, insects, and the occasional clatter of something up in the trees.

The main cargo hold is opened, and Lucien drives his Armored ATV down and begins loading his gear.

The Gen-Arms compound is about ten miles away.  Trees most of the way, and the going will be rough - it will take approximately an hour to get there in the ATV.

It is currently about 3 hours until sunset.  (For simplicity's sake, let's say the sun set's at 8pm.  It is currently early fall like weather - just starting to cool down after  summer)

The three of you load up into Lucian's ATV and head out.  You manage to travel along a small river for several miles towards the compound before you have to head inland.  You find a group of trees about a half mile from our target that you decided to park the ATV in and move in on foot.


You find a small hillock over looking the compound at a quarter mile from the facility.  The three of you get down low as the sun sets and crawl to the peak of the hill.  The compound is tucked in between a couple of hills.

The compound is several acres, with a 15 tall wall about it.  The grounds for one hundred feet around the walls are cleared of trees, but overgrown with grass and small shrubs.  There are several species of four legged herbivores and some large avians grazing the land outside the wall.

There is a guard tower at each corner, and one near the gate.  The 'road' leading to the gate is more of a trail, and does not appear to see a lot of use.  Inside the compound are the following buildings;

  • The main building - this appears to be a four story luxury mansion made from local hardwoods.  It is very rustic looking, but to the trained eye you can see that it is very modern.  There are a couple of porches, balconies and a patio on the back side.  One side of the building appears to have a glass ab metal addition on it with an indoor swimming pool.  Off f the back patio is a small man made pond, and some gardens.
  • Hanger - there is a mid sized hanger with a landing platform attached.  You would guess that it accommodates a local system shuttle used for getting around the planet.
  • Garage - likely holds a couple of ground effect vehicles and their maintenance facilities.
  • Security building - this building looks like it would house a dozen or so people, their gear, and a couple of single person ATVs.


Let me know what you are doing, and give me any appropriate skill rolls.

Don't forget, the Doc is still aboard the Blood Hound and she is a capable pilot.

You are a quarter mile from the facility,it's difficult to make out many details.  But you don't see any movement.  You think you see something near the front door of the house, but you can't make it out.......

That would be inside the facility surrounded by a wall 15 feet high, with guard towers and 100ft of open field.
