Prologue: Nessia - Palace Throne Room

Nestled comfortably within the Military district sits the King's Tower and Royal Palace. A feast is being held to celebrate the birthday of Princess Callia who invited all nobility from all realms to come together as one and enjoy a day of relaxation and merriment. The throne room is filled to the brim with all walks of nobility, knights and squires form the lower level and are barred entrance to the upper pavilion where the various lords and nobles talk amongst themselves. The palace servants scurry expertly between the various members of the crowd and dispense food and drinks at an alarming rate to the various tables that have been settled on the upper level.

King Ferdent sat rigidly in his throne, his armor and crown adorned with gold trim and jeweled studs. He wore a small smile as he gazed upon the various members of his court and offered a regal nod to any who bowed his way in greeting. He was the perfect picture of sophisticated grace and when he spoke the words seemed to echo throughout the noisy room, a constant reminder of the power he wielded so easily. He awaited his four Liege Lords to once again come forth and bend their knee in greeting as the party was another excuse to bring them together for another meeting. He had left them to their own affairs, content in the peace that seemed willing enough to linger awhile.

Crown Prince Verelor stood off to a corner of the upper Pavilion, surrounded by barons and counts of various regions of Nessia that all whispered sweet nothings into his ear, empty promises and dutiful compliments. He seemed bored of the current company though his eyes followed a particularly attractive servant girl that maneuvered her way through the crowded throne room. He watched her like a hawk intent on its prey and as soon as she ducked into the kitchen to refill her platter of drinks he struck off from the group with an eloquent apology and sought after her as a nasty smirk curved his lips.

Princess Callia walked the room with two members of the Royal Legion at her heels, she offered smiles and waves to all who greeted her and kissed the cheeks of any who knelt before her. She was a breath of fresh air that swept through the room and left tidings of good health and happiness in her wake. She seemed to almost dance her paces around the room, she often twirled and giggled as she danced with a few knights that entertained her. King Ferdent smiled at his daughter as she made her way across the room yet it was obvious from the glance that followed to Gregori that even though the Princess enjoyed herself, she was always monitored and protected above all else.

Gregori stood beside the King's throne, two steps to the right and one to the rear. He was the King's Right Hand and he brought with him years of experience and countless victories. His armor was buffed and shined, it easily reflected the sunlight that shined through the skylights above the throne. His halberd rested at his side, gripped firmly in his hand as he surveyed the room. He was given a wide birth, even when those approached the King to offer greetings and to renew their pledges of fealty. He was a legend among the Alliance, his efforts alone had won over many of the nations and he fought ever onward. The only ones allowed to carry weapons in the presence of the King were Gregori and the Royal Legion, no one was foolish enough to disobey the rule that lived long to tell of it.

Feel free to hop in whenever you have your portrait selected. You may talk with anyone of the named NPCs that were mentioned. Yes, even Gregori if you have the stones for it. This will be a prelude into the game to allow players to converse amongst themselves as we wait a few days to get all the details hammered out. I mean it, if you have your character, hop right on in :) Get to know people! Maybe even strike up a conversation with a lesser lord if you want!

Prologue: Nessia - Palace Throne Room

As Logs finally arrived at the party, he waited for the other Dwarves to open his door. As the door was swung open with a guardsman waiting firmly on the other side. He exited the vehicle and took two steps on the staircase before jumping off the final step, and landing firmly on the ground. With his feet planted well, he walked towards the back of his carriage and was met with two Dwarves of his entourage that marched behind him. With a simple clap, the  men opened the back and inside were the gifts for the royal family. Reaching inside, he took the items and placed them onto a Dwarven woven pillow that was made of the finest velvet of linen and stitched to perfection with golden needles, leaving behind it's wonderful brass like color on the strings. Each pillow had reaves going along it, to surround the gift. Just at the base were the names of who the gifts would be handed too.

With the gifts now ready to be relocated, his men walked up towards the entry point of the the building that was hosting the party. Walking up to the door with his fabulous armor made of the finest dwarven steel that could be crafted. He asked for entry and showed the guardsmen the gifts he had. Clearing his throat, he said. "Uhem! I am the Warden of the North; Logs Godsarmour, Ruler of the Mountain of Isengroth, I have gifts for the royal family. I assure you they are not in any way shape or form a danger. But none the less, I must show you them." Snapping his fingers, the servants walked up, each with a gift. As the gifts were lined up, Logs explained what they were. "Tis here is the tiara made of the finest silver, gold, and the most expensive jewels from our homelands, deep in the heart of our great mountain, cut to perfection and polished to the point, where not even the moonlight cannot escape its sparkle in the bliss nights. This is the gift of Princess Callia" The Tiara is mainly a silver based object, with many diamonds that covered the flanks. Just in the front are three large stones, that or blue, red, and green, and hold different types of designs in each of them. After he presented the gift, he moved along the servant and brought forth the next gift.

Gesturing with his hand, he says. "This gift, is for Prince Verelor. They are two twin sided blades, both equal and in the shape of a scimitar. They are thin, but do not be mistaken. Together they are as deadly as a longsword, and last longer than any sword crafted from any race. These weapons are very light, but the steel used in it is the famous Dwarven polaris steel,  the most prized swords and the best are crafted from this mineral. This sword will always keep its sharpness. It cannot go duel nor take damage unless extreme tension is placed, let alone even so the metal can be bent back through Dwarven means."

As he moved on to the next gift, it had the name of the king written at it's base along with Gregori Daratrazanoff. "This is the gold stone of the Dwarven race. It is a one of a kind gem that symbolizes the very beings of the Dwarves. When I had ruled as king, this gem made the Dwarves obedient to me as there rightful king. But since I am no longer a king, this gem will be handed to the king, this will firmly acknowledge or alliance. The Dwarves will now see the king of your people, the king of the Dwarven empire." As he finished his talks, a saddened look was on his face. He was once a king along time ago, and it was time for him to hand the Dwarven people into the hands of their subjugators. Even though there are still some mixed feelings about it, the Dwarves nonetheless will comply and fulfil their ends until death do them part.

As Logs walked in, every gift except the weapons were brought into the building. As logs walked with an authoritarian like expression, he walked up to the king and bowed before him.  As he came up from his bow, he waited for the king to allow him to speak. "King Ferdent the Wise, First King of the Alliance, and king of the Dwarves. I present you and Gregori Daratrazanoff, this gift as a form of gratitude and respect for your house." As one of his servants approached with the Golden gem and displayed it before the king and Daratrazanoff. He continued to speak. "This gift is the Dwarves most prized possession, who ever owns the gem becomes the king of the Dwarven people. It is my time to pass the gem off to the true king of the Dwarves. With this, my people will forever fight alongside you and Gregori Daratrazanoff." As he finished the gift offering, he then explained to Gregori Daratrazanoff that he has a gift for Prince Verelor, but he cannot bring them inside for they are weapons.

Prologue: Nessia - Palace Throne Room

Dreldini looked out in the direction of the docks with an exasperated sigh before moving towards the entrance of the palace. She walked around stiffly, still taking time readjusting to ground that didn't move and shake beneath her feet. She wore a light yellow dress was adequate enough for such a noble function but was hardly a piece of clothing to turn any eyes. She absolutely hated it but anyone who's anyone has to look the part. Dreldini wisely chose to leave her personal guards and aids back at the ship fearing their personalities would incite exciting but ultimately avoidable encounters. Sparking an international incident was certainly not the on the agenda for today.

Her entire body twitched from memory before the first bow came as she entered through the doors and met the greeter. Instead of returning the bow with a curtsy she bowed back and carefully moved past the man into the throne room. Just from looking around Dreldini became entranced. She was reminded of schools of fish as she observed all the different clothes and colors and styles everyone wore. Blue's and whites mixed with blacks and greens, she was mesmerized. Dreldini had somehow forgotten the spectacle that came with any events involving the Royal family and genuinely smiled before her eyes came to rest on a dwarf.

The smile had morphed into something more smug as she watched the dwarven leader making himself the center of attention with all his grand gifts. Stifling a small cough Dreldini raised an eyebrow as the dwarf continued to reveal all matter of different treasures. Her smile quickly dissipated entirely as her gaze traveled up and laid upon King Ferdent. Averting her eyes downwards she politely waited to hear the King's response when the dwarf finished before raising her head back up.

Out of the corner of her eye Dreldini noticed the princess and with quiet "aha!" she quickly approached with another side-wards glance to the King before speaking. "Madame princess! So good it is to see you and what a remarkable young woman you are. I still fondly remember the days when I was as young as you though none of the celebrations I ever attended was as amazing as this! Ah, beg your pardon princess I have not yet introduced myself. My name is Terand Dreldini, leader of the Maritime State of Virlund." She spoke with a bow and chuckled slightly before continuing. "Look at me talking up a storm like a merchantman, I am sure you wish to see your present." Pulling out a wooden box from a bag at her side Dreldini handed it over and beckoned for the Princess to open it. Inside is a necklace made of ocean blue pearls, clear enough to easily see through to the other side. "A string of pearls collected from one of the largest oysters I have ever seen, it was the size of a small child I tell you! I was planning on wearing it myself before I remembered your day of birth was coming up soon and thought it made the perfect gift. What do you think?"
