First the rules that effect you out and in character:
1. You are not a god. You are not all knowing, you do not avoid damage and decide if/what other people do.
2. Keep the Character in the RP, keep the OOC in the OCC, enough said.
3. Realistic character and mixes of people and such.
4. Do not make sexual or insulting remarks in OOC, you may do it in character to some extent, but keep it within the rules of the site.
5. Try to have fun, not break the game. I think this rule is simple enough.
6. You MUST have a portrait, sorry I am picky like that. I want at least a face to match to the name I am speaking with. Not everyone has the luxury of knowing what you look like. Common courtesy, people.
Rules that affect you in game only.
1. For the items that your character can start with try to keep it simple, starting with a giant cleaver with a grappling hook, a wand, and a toothpick built in and having one in each hand just may be a bit over kill.
2. When picking domain and the things, people, and other parts of the land you rule, try not to pick something like, Templars of the Holy Cross and then say your character is a Lich or Vampire... that just doesn't fit.
