World Information
Mirosse:
The larger of the two continents, Mirosse, consists mostly of plains and farmland. To the north are large mountains where Blade Shamans are said to live, while to the southern swamplands rumors of witches run rampant. There are also numerous forests and lakes that dot the map.
Sias:
At a third of the size Sias is the smaller of the two continents. While they originally specialized in fishing, due to the lack of fertile land they turned to technology in order to survive. This technological boom was lead by a man named Novak, who discoveries lead to the inventions of mana-powered guns, medical technology, and other scientific advantages.
Religion Importance in Mirosse:
The gods of the world are of extreme significance to those who live on Mirosse. Festivals are held in respect of the gods, offerings are given in hopes of pleasing the gods and receiving their favor, and there are even laws strictly enforcing religious obedience. Disrespecting the gods or the law in Mirosse can lead to very serious consequences.
Technological Importance of Sias:
Before the discoveries of Novak, Sias was similar to Mirosse. Close friends with the countries ruler the priorities of the country have shifted from Religion to Technology. The faith of the people has turned from the gods, and onto their own hard work. This is not true for all the citizens, as the older generation still believe that the gods are things to be feared and respected, the younger population believes in moving forward, uninhibited by the past.
Relationship between the two countries:
Due to the vastly different beliefs of their rulers, relations between the two lands have become increasingly strained, and while trading occurs, there is an increasing amount of discrimination between the two sides.
Magic in the two countries:
While magic is common, the two countries view it fairly differently.
The people of Mirosse believe that magic is a gift, given to them by the gods, and should be handled accordingly.
The people of Sias view the matter entirely differently believing that magic is a science, that it can be taken apart and analysed, and do their best to figure out how it works for the better of all.
There are no Great Spirits in this world. They seem to have existed at one point, but at some point in history they appear to have vanished.
Dark Magic is viewed as taboo in both countries and is illegal to practice
