Si was  the last to get in, taking note of  any who might be watching too closely. as he sat in the  car. He   waited for  Lamont  to  answer Artemis's  question  then asked.

Lake Sarnac Boathouse

The boathouse is relatively warm, about 60 degrees inside, heated to let the new coat of paint on the plane dry.  Amelia reaches for her head, pressing her right hand against he temple.  In a labored voice, she speaks slowly and low.   Yes dear................. I can hear you...........  But do you have to speak so loud.  She appears to have a tremendous hangover.     Then she asks, Where are we ?

The group hop in the car at the Lodge, and LaMont orders the driver to Lake Sarnac.   LaMont offers a drink from the stocked minibar in the car.  Asks for directions and Charlie says he knows where the plane is, he offers to hop upfront with the driver.

LaMont says to Artemis.  The car is far more than I need, but so is the floor in the Chrysler building.  However, if one is to get the inside scoop with the big players, they expect this of their peers.  LaMont puts off his display of wealth, even indicates he thinks it's a little ridiculous.


About the Governor.
I'm not sure of the best way to protect him.  Perhaps we call in a threat that the Governor is to be assassinated.  Then we are not associated with it, and they will provide whatever protection they see fit.

He then looks to Si.
I'm just here to rub elbows.  Lots of big wigs from around the globe here.   Lots of loose information flying around.

The car takes off smoothly headed for Lake Sarnac on the winding roads.

    Si  snorts a bit, i had a brief  chat with some of these, 'big wigs'. They found great sport in mocking   My father's  side of my breeding... I  returned thier  harassments  with  our  Elder's teachings.... they would not have fared so well, had  there not been as many witnesses...

 ..i used to roam seeking  information, I wish i had  not, at times. Others  time, i am most  happy i did. Now?if seems  we have fallen into a pit of vipers while running  from a bear.

Artemis smiled at the Captain's response to his teasing and gave the man a wink to reaffirm not only being impressed but that he was in fact teasing.

"We reported a summary of what happened to one of the Governor's staff, or I thought it was a member of his staff working with the hotel," Artemis said but then his voice faded with uncertainty and doubt.

"We can always use a person in those circles Captain, truly.  My Philly roots and all put me in a different class, but you are soaring amongst eagles, angels, and I might add a few fallen angels in those New York City penthouses." Arty said with a slight smirk.  "Hopefully, the food is good and there aren't too many entanglements or as Si said vipers and bears."

The Car Travels the winding road through the snow, as the group talks.  LaMont mentions more than once that should they come to NYC, he will show them a good time.

The car pulls up outside a large building.  Charlie says,  This is where the plane is being painted.

Amelia again asks, Where are we.

  Si smiles  a bit.I was on the east coast a few times in my life, mostly when i was  younger, I have never  laid eyes on New York...i do not know if   i would .....fit in... he smiled a bit awkwardly.

 so?  Mr   LaMont...the Asians  seem to be  planning something...and we have Mob folks here  working with a Holyman. First thought would be to cause a problem and make it look like it is the mobster's fault.... that could be  easy to do, with The Main speaker being  a supporter of  American being 'dry'..

 it would not be a stretch  for  a down right massacre, under pretense of  something that should be  a happy time?... the gods  know,it  happened to people of my race often enough?

LaMont says, When I get back to New York, I'll check in with my contacts in Chinatown.  They'll know if something is up.  They keep close tabs on people coming from the orient.

The car pulls to a complete stop.  Charlie says, Well boys, this is where we got the plane painted.  And just over there is Mareks sleigh.   Maybe they got some hot coffee on it in there.  Beat back this cold.

 lookign out the window, he adds,that is good, so long as they are not  aiding the cause?

 Si  waits for the door to stop and moves to open his  door, His  his shift under  the Brim of his  hat, looking for some one , or  anyone  who might  have taken notice of them arriving in the Car.

 He   smiles as he gets out, both to act as a distraction , that he might be talking with someone inside the car, or  as a way to cause  any watchers,  to think his guard is  down.

The group steps out of the car.

Artemis shifted his hand on his walking stick as he noticed something through the glass.

"Si, behind the door," Artemis said aloud having been a bit concerned about the return of the Japanese floor cleaning crew.

  Si   gives the slightest of nods  as he looks about, his  hand  slipping under his   coat towards his weapon.

 Mr  Lamont? Would you care to meet the woman who had the ....mysterious  encounter?  perhaps it would interest you?

 ..Arti8e?.. wait..i have a fifth here.....  Si  says  a bit  too loud and staggers  with his hand  under his  Coat,

 he whispers....the fellow  behind the door  has  a gun, he's..maybe?   5 foot tall... and  i think someone  esle is close...

 ..never mind, we will open  it in the hanger, so no one thinks were holding out on them...he speaks up again..

He gives a glance to see if LaMount is  coming or not.

Good cover, most of them have their canvas sails sitting in the botton of the boat.
