First, thanks for thinking about playing this game. Your interest makes me deeply satisfied. It will be my job to facilitate your entertainment, and I will do my best ... There we are off to a good start.

Now directly to the important stuff ... This is where I get mean, scowl a bit, spit in the dirt, and put on my Star Lord uniform.

You must be 18 or older to play this game. Period. No exceptions.

Please RTJ by pressing the 'REQUEST ACCESS' button at the bottom right of this page. That will send a 'Request To Join Message' to me. Note that this is NOT an automatic site or some sort of system process. It is a manual private message sort of thing, and I will get to it as soon as I see it (that might take a couple of minutes to a couple days, I have been known to be away for a weekend or at least away from a computer for an afternoon). In this REQUEST ACCESS PM you must give me the following information ...

The name of the character you would like to play ... Private _______
Nationality (House), home planet and town ...
MOS he wants to be slotted for ... (recon, light, medium, heavy, assault)
 His / her age ...
A brief one paragraph character concept and description of your character.

***********************************************

I know that seems a little much, but I would like it that way. It is also a test to see if you can follow directions ... no I am not kidding, Really, it IS a test. ... Yup, for real, like the green M&M's story. You would be surprised at the number of people that can not follow easy directions. If you can't get this far I will probably not consider you for the game.

***********************************************

Lastly - read the introduction ... Assume you sitting in the cockpit of your mech awaiting Captain Millers' return with some other pilots. When some smart college kid in a well pressed uniform with a pair of lieutenants bars on his shoulder slips through the hatch to your CN9-AL Centurian and shines a holo-vid-corder in your face ... Any words you'd like to send home soldier ? A few words for mom or maybe that sweet heart you left behind ? ... A JF4 Jaunty Recon Drone flies low over you and the kid ducks ... someone outside chuckles loudly ... Lieutenant ? You might wanna get those shoes cleaned. ... Someone else chuckles ...

Continue in character please ... a few words for the folks at home ?

***********************************************

Now for some do's and don'ts ... Please do not tell me that you will only play if you can be a distant member of one of the houses, or a relative of Kia Allard-Liao, or Aleksandr Sergeyevich Kerensky, those characters are all taken, they do not want to trade and do not like competition. If you make such foolish requests, I will fail to even bother responding from that point. And lastly please do not send me a complete Mech Warrior character sheet ... "just for me to look at". I really do not want to have to take away all your good shit, and peel away thirty years of advanced combat experience, and do all the conversions. These characters are fresh from thirty days of basic boot and are about to be tossed in the meat grinder against a seasoned Marion Hegemony Mercenary Battalion.

Note that if I accept you to the game, you will NOT receive an email. I do not have your email address, so I cannot send you one. You will have to check back to see if you have been accepted into the game. I will try to send you an rMail in a timely manner, but it might be faster if you just keep checking.

As soon as you have been accepted to the game, and your concept is approved, please choose an avatar picture, (no anime or hand drawn pics please as it detracts from the setting) and edit your general description.

This description should be one paragraph letting all the other players know what you look like, what your general mannerisms are and any other things they might notice on easy inspection.

An example follows :

Arthur is an young white male with a pasty complexion and small round wire rimmed glasses, the typical clerk you might encounter at city hall if you went in to register for the draft. He is a bit on the tall side for an Laotian (on his mothers side) and he seems to be a bit on the thin side, though with the GI food and the long days and hard work that might explain the loss of a few pounds. He dresses in faded utilities and most of his kit is in fact a bit on the well used side but a closer inspection would tell you it was all in good repair. His accent is a bit nasally but that might be pretty normal for a kid from the New Brooklyn. All in all Arthur is not the stone cold killer that he might like to be, but he is a survivor, someone best to keep an eye on.

Also immediately send me TWO PMs ... titled as below ...

<Character name> Character Generation (no brackets please)
<Character Name> Communications (no brackets please)

With these two PMs I will be able to keep character generation stuff separate from your private communications with me and at a later date if I need to find things related to your character development I will be able to do so much more easily.

I do appreciate your attention to that. Thanks.
