Daner - How do you do "inspiration"? I made a note of it on my character sheet. Still haven't used it for Peren and I know it varies from DM to DM.

I like Chris's method: say when you want to use it, then roll a d4. The next 1-4 d20 rolls you make (be they attack rolls, saving throws, or skill checks) are done with advantage.

Not a big deal, but my image went away for a bit (some kind of server issue on their end). I ended up clicking around to see if I could get it to work.

I noticed my Zelgor image was inaccessible for a few hours earlier in the weekend, too. This happens from time to time and usually remedies itself fairly quickly. I see you've updated portraits, which is fine, too (although I am a big Tom Baker/4th Doctor fan).



Now that we've at least taken care of the preliminary introductions, conflict will be on the way! Keep in mind play-by-post combat is significantly slower than you're used to. Helps if everyone can post at least daily to keep things moving.

Once I hear from Therarak, I will follow up with the results for the baddies in round 1! If nothing by tomorrow night, I'll post on his behalf.

Celador, you now have 1d6 of Bardic inspiration, meaning that one time in the next 10 minutes, you can add 1d6 to any d20 roll. This can be done after the d20 is rolled, so you can even use it on your first round attack roll (currently a 10) if you'd like.

A Tabaxi can double their moving speed in combat. They can't do it again until they don't take a movement once.

The claws do 1d4 + STR slashing damage. Tavern brawls are going to be fun! (And bloody)

New map has been loaded. Can you see it?

To get there, you need to click on the main game map (link right next to the Dice Roller Link). That will pull up the original map of The Northlands.

At the BOTTOM of that map, there is a --select another map to view-- dropbox.

Select "Map/Image for group 0" (intuitively obvious, I know).


That should pull up my beautiful map of Westbank.
Please let me know if you can see it.

Would like to keep things rolling, but need to know if Thorfire is going to try to sneak down into the dungeon. If he isn't able to post by the 24 hour mark (11:00 tonight), let's take a vote ("us" being Therarak, Celador, and Lazaret) on whether or not he tries it. Sneak into the dungeon, yes or no. Two votes wins.

...of course by that time, Thorfire will have logged in and decided anyway, but just in case he's unavailable, we'll have a way to keep things going.

I just tried setting up two different threads.

Therarak, Celador, and Lazeret should now be able to view and post to Chapter 3A.

Thorfire, meanwhile, should be able to view and post to Chapter 3B.

Please confirm that you can see those threads - let me know if you can't.

Thorfire has now arrived at the Strohghammer Inn, so all of you should have access to the Chapter 3A thread now (if not let me know).

Next steps are up to you. You can either discuss in character in thread 3A or here in the OOC thread. Looks like Celador may be unavailable while on vacation, so we can wait for him. Therarak? Still with us or are you opting out? The Stronghammer does offer extended stay rates if you just want to chill in Westbank while the others head out. I won't be offended.
