OOC Thread

Here is a place for all of your OOC (out of character) conversation.

I don't mind an occasional OOC note in the in-character thread (please use orange font and precede such posts with "OOC:" when posting there), but if you've got more than a one-liner, then this thread is the way to go!

This is a good place to brainstorm who want to play what (so we don't get 4 of the exact same character type). So have at it!

Are you putting any character restrictions in place?

I am thinking about a paladin or cleric, but I may scroll through the UA to see what new stuff might be available.

Very curious to see how this works. I also RTJ'd a "West Marches" campaign. (see how quick I am to pick up the lingo? watch out!)

I was thinking fighter or maybe bard

Dane - looks like I don't have permission to edit the character sheet?

I think I will use purple

maybe aqua?or seagreen? (just playin')

Okay, character sheets are now editable!

Turns out there was a setting that had to be turned on (who knew?).
Let me know if you still can't get in.

Alternatively, there is a way for me to upload your character sheets, which would maybe be faster, however I don't think you can edit them yourself, so there'd be some amount of you update, scan, email to me, and I upload. For now, let's try the basic text only versions.

No character restrictions - be what you want to be... just don't be something lame!

P.S. I updated my portrait to something more northern. I liked the gargoyle, but it bugged me that I couldn't figure out exactly what he was eating.

Sorry, red is too much like orange and that's saved for easily finding dice rolls.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to explore what a game in process looks like, it was harder than I thought to find a game where the in-game links are available. Here's how I finally did it!

1. On the main menu, click on the link called "Browse/Search the Games" located kind of on the bottom middle of the page.

2. UNCLICK the "Only active games requesting players" checkbox. This will have the search go through all the games instead of just those requesting players...which often don't have game threads because they haven't started yet (which is why they are requesting players).

3. For GM name, type in "Eber", then click the "search" button.

4. You should now see a list of all games run by Eber. I recommend Kingdoms of Legend. That one has been running for a while. There are the usual OOC, intro, etc threads. But there are actual game threads too, like The Mine, The South Tower, The Inn Crowd.

P.S. Earlier I said no restrictions for characters, however I remembered I did note the following in the Getting Started thread, so let's stand by that.

DM:
...No multiclass, no evil characters, and if you want to play something outside of the original players handbook, you'll have to send me the info, because the PH is all I have!

Character sheet looks good, Brian. Nice job.

And thanks for getting yours started, Marc, but NO, you cannot start with 1,000,000 xp and level 20 even though that's what you have entered (thought I wouldn't catch that, did you?)!!!!!!

I updated the Character Sheets instructions in the Getting Started thread. Please check that out. When finished, this will show some basic character info (race/class/level/hp) like I now have abpve my little wolf portrait.

Also don't forget to choose a portrait (that's half the fun of character creation)!

Sounds like Brian is playing a fighter. Any other thoughts for the make-up of the party? I'm pretty open. I was thinking of trying the Artificer Build using the Alchemist subclass. This gives me flexibility, so I can be a healer and do damage with AoE down the line.

As for colour (yeah I'm going British for this one) will be DARK BLUE

Marc - Do you want to be a caster? I was thinking paladin or ranger. But I could go a different direction if you'd rather not be the magic user.

Brian, I just transferred your character info to a new user called Celador Qiris. Can you see it?

I plan on deleting Snybri, but will leave it active for now just in case you can't get open Celador for some reason.

Dan, I just moved your character sheet to a new user named Lazaret. Please confirm that you can edit it. Once you do that, I'll delete the Ruzda character!

P.S. I never heard of a Tabaxi before, but I give it a thumbs up.

Looks like we will have a fighter, a bard, an artificer, and a rogue.
A fine crew.

Celador's character sheet is ready to go!
Lazaret's character sheet has everything but a background!

We will get started as soon as Marc and Chris get theirs loaded.
No rush, I realize it takes a while to build a character you like and then to get things loaded.

Also, Dan and Chris, I don't have anything on Tabaxi or Artificer/Alchemists. Is that in UA or Volo's or somewhere else?

The Tabaxi is in Volo's. Here is a quick summary - https://complete-reference.com...viewtopic.php?id=187

If this is not a race we want, I can switch to halfling pretty easily.
