 At level 2, the artificer can craft a magic item. I chose a fabled bag of holding.  I figured if Dane is insisting on encumbrance this could come in handy. Plus, I know how much Bryan loves bags of holding.

I think you have this slightly wrong.  Bryan loves holding (caressing actually) your bag.
