Cabals

List of known Cabals in London

The Runners - 3 members
A group of Mysterium mages who are well known for researching London's mystery. The Runners, aptly named because of their parkour tendencies, run the known routes of the city to test known phenomena. It seems they are trying to obtain consistent results on the paths they run, rather than discovering new runes in the city.

Brujo's Boys - 3 members
While originally from the Adamantine Arrow, Brujo's Boys welcome anyone keen to practice incorporating physical combat and magic. You have to beat the most recently joined member to get in though, and as time passes that feat becomes more and more impressive. While there are three permanent members of the cabal, sometimes younger mages come to the Boys to test and hone their skills.
According to the Boys, Brujo was a Spaniard who Awakened while in a fist fight for his life. The sudden Awakening allowed him to win the fight, as if the odds were suddenly in his favour. His Mage name was given to him by the crowd who watched him win a fight he had been losing just moments before. No one is sure of the truth of this story, but the Boys claim to have been a small Cabal since before the second world war.

The Stone Philosophers - 4 members
While Brujo's Boys fight openly with magic, as sure to throw fireballs as a punch, the Stone Philosophers forbid the use of magic in their brawls. Though this may be because, rather than the organized fighting sessions the Boys hold, the Stone Philosophers will throw a punch at the drop of a hat.
Hell, sometimes they don't even wait for the hat to finish falling.
Their aim is to push each other to what they define as the true Arrow way: Existence is War. While the Cabal is extremely familial they constantly fight over everything. How much food is shared, where people sit, who is buying the first round at the pub and so on. To many onlookers the sudden outbursts of physical scuffles are violent and unnecessary.
We fight all our lives to simply get by, the Philosophers just feel that to be truly tested they must make that more literal.

Hayfich - 3 members
Originally called 'HAFH' or 'Home Away From Home', the drawl of London and a general desire to save time has slowly changed the name to be 'Hayfich'
A well known resting place for travelling Mages in London, Hayfic is currently run by Oz. A Silver Ladder Mage who is typically the first friendly face travellers find in the city. Acolytes in the Silver Ladder are typically tasked to help Oz with cooking, cleaning and maintenance of the inn which is the Cabals base. Any who come seeking refuge are told that all arguments are left at the door. Under Oz's keen eye it is well known that magic rarely comes out as intended, if at all.
