One post from Nishlamena and Ruliel and the adventure will start.

Hi everyone. So no news from Ruliel despite my rMail. I think I gave to her enough time to answer. I consider for now her character as NPC. The game will find a faster pace now.
I posted a conclusion for the introduction thread and created a new one with its first post. The adventure starts officially ^_^

While Serena do her post, question to the group, do you prefer someone else taking over Ruliel (DM or another player) or have another character jumping in?

I am fine either way :) The adventure is still in its infancy so there is a good chance for someone to jump in.

Guess I got nominated to bring it up, so here goes. ^.^;

So, like, you did say that you're a new GM so please understand that I'm trying to be helpful here when I say this, but your pacing is all over the place. This last post, in particular, is way too fast, racing through a whole bunch of facts that I would have loved to interact with, especially since my character has relevant magical abilities, and you just blazed by them. So now either I have to backtrack, which is awkward, or I have to miss opportunities to roleplay my character and gain information.

If there's something for us to interact with, you should just stop at that point. If for some reason we're not interested in that particular interaction, we'll let you know. ^.^

Serena, I'm sorry if I gave the impression I was fast racing on this last post. Since the beginning, everything has been of my own invention (the caravan trip, the fire). My last post is how the module is written, I only answered in it your question about the witch tower name origin (or the lack of a known origin). If you refer to the potential magic on the door of the wizard's mansion and the possibility for you to interact at that moment, this is how the scene is described in the book, the players are supposed to witness the incompetence of the two deputies and discover the existence of the wizard.

I should have stopped the post at the end of the first paragraph when someone mention the wizard and his mansion nearby. Do you want me to do so?

Be sure I will be more careful for now on and follow less blindly the book.

That would be a start, yes.

Thus far we have the mystery of why the stables suddenly caught fire, and now why this tower suddenly fell down. I dunno anything about this module you're referring to, but I hope we're going to get closure on these things instead of just being expected to forget about them and move on.

What Serena said.

It's not easy using pre-written things in online scenario, as evident now, players on the table have more agency to raise their hand and go "I want to X that Y", in this scenario, Serena wants to Check on that Corpse.

You should try to recognize all the things players would even casually want to interact with, even if the module does not give any results for successes, and Accordingly try to pace it out.

Don't worry, I still consider myself a horrible GM. We all make mistakes and learn from them. And I think we are a nice enough group to allow for such and help you out on the way :)

Serena, I updated the post accordingly. Yes, the players are going to get closure about these two events, the collapse of the tower is in fact the starting point of the adventure the way it has been written in the book I have.
Nishlamena, thanks also for your advice, I will make sure to make opportunities for you all to interact and roleplay at times relevant for your characters even if the pre-written module does not explicitly do.
Do not hesitate to keep proposing improvements and raise ideas for the story and the storytelling.

I hope also that you don't take mine and Serena's criticism as anything but appreciation for what you are doing. We both know that GMing is not easy, and it's partly why we want you to improve.

I am not saying you did, but as Serena can testify, I am a weirdo whose mind tends to wander and worry a lot.
