Both Fear spells have now worn off and Halthor, Jerec and Suladriel can return to the mausoleums. They're not far and you can easily find you way back.

Re: OOC
Oh, I'm sorry. I thought I'd given you a summary of the story so far or that you'd read back on the posts. In any case, the party was hired by Randal Morn of Daggerdale to investigate and stop a series of drow raids on the outlying farms of the Dale. They were offered 5000 gp as a prize for completing the mission, and another 5000 gp worth of healing spells at the temple of Tyr in Dagger Falls if they become necessary.

The party found the drow's tracks in one of the ravaged farms and followed them to the area you're currently in, which consists of two mausoleums and an entrance into the side of the hill (look at the Game Map for group 1). The first mausoleum they explored was empty, having been looted long ago. The door of the second mausoleum was plastered over the sides and top, and Suladriel was able to open it only after bashing at it with his scimitar for several rounds. Inside was the group of vampires that you were fighting. Finally, the double doors that go inside the hill are flanked by a pair of stone statues of armored skeletons, and Roundar found that the doors were closed by a chain from the inside. The drow tracks you were following go through those doors.

Re: OOC
I'd like to suggest we deal with one thing at a time. Before rushing into the locked crypt, can we resolve the destruction of the vampires? I am going to need to memorize Bless to get holy water, I believe, which means we need to rest so I can pray. Or if just burning the bodies will work, let's do that and move on. But there has been no resolution to the vampire thing so I'd prefer not to move on yet.

Re: OOC
Jerec is not intending to rush into the new entryway/crypt, he just unlocked the door and wants to shine light there to see where it leads and how far/deep it goes, as much as the light will tell him anyway.

Jerec is just waiting for Halthor and the others to destroy the undead. He will rejoin the others then follow their lead (Halthor mentioned needing to rest to prepare the spells needed)

You need the Bless Water spell. Are you going to set up camp for the evening then?

Ok, I posted IC. I propose we camp and let sunlight destroy the vamps. We just need to set camp and determine watches.

Jerec:
ooc: What is the process we are using for identifying possibly magical items aside from casting identify & detect magic?

Since this is the first time that you're identifying looted items, feel free to develop your own process.

Re: OOC
Suladriel's new player vanished, he hasn't posted in more than two weeks, and doesn't answer my private messages even though I know he's been logging in. So Suladriel is an NPC once again.

I wonder if I should even bother finding a replacement or just give up and close the game, since nobody seems to give a royal f*** about posting. I can only push the game forward so much when nobody posts or a couple of players post and nobody replies. There's only four of you left, so it should be easy to decide. Tell me what you want to do.

Re: OOC
I'm fine continuing, just waiting for you to move things along. Doesn't really add anything other than noise to post for no reason. You can just narrate us forward to get us unstuck. We camp, get a good nights rest, and wake up in the morning ready to proceed on the adventure.

Re: OOC
I'm ready and willing to move forward. And yeah a good way to move things forward is just narrate a time pass (i.e. the night is spent camping and we move onwards)

Re: OOC
I would prefer the game be moved along faster at times like these. If something needs to be said in hindsight, we can always just post something above our current actions like:

This is what I had to say to you before the game moved on...

****

This is what I'm doing now.

However, if there is something more that you as the DM were waiting for us to do or say please let us know.

Re: OOC
Guys, I'm not gonna move the game forward if you have unresolved issues. For example, Jerec initiated a dialogue about the distribution of the loot, and nobody even replied. If your character wants no loot or doesn't care, then say so, but say something.

Also, Roundar proposed a watch schedule that included him and Kyrian, then Halthor offered a different one. I need a decision on that, since I'll be using it every time you stop to rest from now on.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it feels like you're not reading or don't care what the others post. Roleplaying is about interaction with each other as much as it is about interacting with situations that the DM presents. I get it, some of you're new to the game, but there's no better way to get to know the other players/characters than talking to them, right?

Re: OOC
Jerec, none of those items benefit me currently, so I will pass on all of them.

I had proposed we discuss watch order previously. Spell casters need to get a solid 8 hours so we need to take first or last watch. I volunteered to go first, which means Jerec would get last. We need one more four hour block in there.

I'm a hairs width from bailing on this whole game, mostly because the dm refuses to move things forward.

Re: OOC
I'm fine with any watch schedule the party decides on, though Roundar mentioned Kyrian has a special ring which I assume allows him to remain awake longer or need less sleep; if this removes the need for all party members to have to keep watch Jerec will vote to be the one to skip keeping watch.

Re: OOC
Makes sense to me for Jerec to skip watch.

Does anyone else have to memorize spells?

How about equipment? Anyone need any of the protection items Jerec mentioned?

Re: OOC
Ok, I decided that I'm not going to continue running this game. We all have limited spare time and since some of us are not having fun and the game can't go on with only a few players, then we all better save that spare time for more interesting activities.

I've made the character sheets editable so that you can copy them somewhere else and keep them if you want. In two days from now I'll close and delete the game.

I wish you all good luck with your future games. It was good to meet you all. See you around.

Re: OOC
Pretty good, thanks! We've just had our first combat situation and it went pretty smoothly. We have a full roster at the moment, so I can't offer you a spot, but I can keep you on a waiting list in case someone drops in the future. You can even stay as a lurker if you want. Here's the link, drop me a line over there if you're interested.
