Where various scenes unbeknownst to characters are played out, plot secrets hinted at, and foreshadowing of future and past events takes place...

Jerd roared and slammed his fist down. "I don't give a damn! They didn't sign up for this! Hell, I didn't sign up for this when I was a wee lad! We can't force them to uphold an article that hasn't been spoken of for centuries!"

Krun put a soothing hand on his old friends shoulder "No, Ole Ironshot, they did not sign up for this. Neither did we, so long ago when we ourselves were fresh Pathfinders. But fate chose us, and we hold to a sacred creed. The Gods need our help if we are ever to defeat The Void."

Mirgin pursed his lips and calmly continued from where Jerd had cut him off. "Iktune has spoken, he believes Cienta knows where Iridon is. Guztar and Xaius have agreed to join the search, though Guztar is only doing this to challenge Iridon. We can expect Gaeus to hinder our search as he has been doing, but I believe Jezla can persuade him the time has come for The Gods to agree to focus on beating The Void."

Vasmir smirked "Gaeus and Jezla huh? I always thought those two had a thing. So, we find Iridon, "father" of everything, and what? He's supposed to have the power to defeat The Void? Because what? He's the only one who The Awareness will speak to? How do even know that's true? Are we forgetting that Gaeus is the only one to have ever survived The Void? If you ask me Iridon is a jealous self righteous prick with an oversized ego. I mean c'mon, the guy abandons mankind, whom he supposedly loves because they learned a few naughty things? Grow up! Children don't stay children forever. He's a pretty piss poor father in my eyes. We ought to be focused on helping Guztar destroy this universe and let The Void and The Awareness sort things out. Be more merciful for the rest of us. Not like we have any control over anything."

Sianna rose from her seat and waited for the men to silence themselves. They all stared and waited for her to speak. "Cienta, our mother, is in pain. Our father, Iridon, has hidden himself from us for he had no choice. If he were to remain in our presence we would be destroyed for our corruption. We should be grateful he sent Gaeus to save us. Gaeus risked his very essence to bring salvation to us, mere beings on a planet amongst many. Jezla has taught us, made us who we are. Iktune has given us truth and the bliss of ignorance with his deceit. Guztar has shown us how to wage war. And Xaius has guided us through it all, showing us the best way to live amongst each other in this fated universe  despite our differences. We owe them all, and the least we can do as Pathfinders is uphold the solemn creed we forged with the God's ourselves so long ago. The first Pathfinders did not shy from The Void when it came for them, neither shall we. You all are no different then you were when you were mere boys, allowing your minds and emotions to cloud you in darkness. Do not forget, The Void is real, and it is coming for us all. We of all the people know this more than any other beings on this planet. Or have you all forgotten the temple of darkness we found that cursed night! We lost two of our party in that fight! That sacrificed themselves so that we could seal the portal, and we swore to the God's that the Pathfinders would answer the call to arms when the time came! Well it is time! So we send our orders out. It begins today. These Pathfinders we have selected were chosen for their talents and gifts, their past, and most of all, their fates that the God's revealed to us. We may never have peace for what we have done, what we are forcing them into, but I'll be damned to The Void before I deny the God's the help they need after what they've done for us." She paused, the others looking to their feet in shame, casting sideways glances at each other. "Come brothers, let us conquer The Void."

Iktune chuckled, he loved the old reunions. He listened to his kind argue before speaking his part. "Yes, Gaeus is making a scene. And? We want the Pathfinders to help us, yes? They need the Scroll of Light to shut that portal, and Gaeus made it, so I would imagine he would intervene when they got ahold of it. We knew it would side with Iridon! I mean, come Cienta, is it any surprise? The boy was traumatized, the void did a number on him. It was no small thing what he did, conquering the void. But imagine what he went through? Facing the void in all of its entirety? To literally have your essence brush against it? Pure...nothingness. Iridon was the only one who comforted the lad."

A lone tear slid down Cientas cheek "Yes, the poor thing, I should have comforted him..but I was so shocked. The Awareness itself could not beat the void, how did he? I know, his followers gave their souls, but the amount of essence one must need to conquer the void, to re-emerge from nothing...its...impossible."

Jezla laid a comforting hand on Cientas shoulder "Come, Cienta, even I could not give him comfort. No one has experienced what he went through. But we need not worry. The Pathfinders will help us, and he will help them. With the united strength of all sentient beings, we can finally take the fight to the void. No longer shall we cower, demanding souls to sustain ourselves, we will destroy the void and live eternal, with all of creation."

Xaius shook his head "No no and no! We destroy the void and there is no balance! What do you think happens when there is no balance? It is no different then nature! Without balance, things become one sided, and the scales of our very universe will tip, and then everything about our universe will fall apart. The Void and The Awareness are eternal, infinite for a reason. If we destroy one we will inevitably cause the destruction of the other. For that is the only way to end The Void. To satisfy its infinite hunger."

Guztar grinned "The only way to rid this universe of the filth The Awareness has created is to end everything. Let the two destroy each other. If we kill The Awareness, The Void will devour its essence and all creation will be destroyed. But we, we can beat it as Gaeus did, and restore our followers, who have given us their souls. Then, with no Void or Awareness to use us, and control our fate, we will truly be free. Our followers will no longer need to fear the void, and can become like us."
