I think Strix is having way to much fun.  Could it be gaining it is gaining human feeling?
If so maybe this not best way to gain them.

Re: ...and now for something interesting.

Eh, I'll wrap the scene...the PPD arrives preventing the remaining Outcasts from escaping, and they've got no real desire to try and fight their way past a certainly irate Mob of PPD, especially after what they did to the Ground Floor Businesses (which emergency crews are likewise arriving to deal with), when they're already messed up to begin with.

Go ahead and post how you wrap your part in the scene, and let me know where you head from there. :)

Gotcha. Wrap up from Strix inbound.

Strix definitely doesn’t view normal humanity in the best light. Could be dealing with them en masse might change their mind.

Sorry about my delay. Hectic work week and dialysis schedule. So the uh forstfire thing was that an alert Daniel would have gotten? Of so he would change plans and made his way there to assist.

In reply to Daniel Essex (msg # 716):

The initial alert is about the Outcast Riot, Tenzing discovered soon after about Frostfire's attack on Crey Towers. If Tenzing doesn't inform everyone, Daniel can find out through Strix who's policing up a series of fairly battered, or otherwise injured, members of the Outcast Mob that managed to evade Strix's initial assault. He can also find out that Tenzing, Roulette and Crimson Fury went 'that way'...leading to the scene at Crey Towers. Feel free to post how you enter the scene currently unfolding, Strix, you can post the following round as you were willing to remain behind in order to ensure the perps were secured.

Would there be a Transition scene for me between the two or is it straight from one into the other? Curious on timing since Strix is staying on scene.

Re: ...and now for something interesting.

I may have ask this before but I am not sure.

Is there a way of using a a 1 PP to gain two SPECIALTIES:- rolls instead of one?
If I can like the known how from both to help me?

I think their is no SXL ability that allows you to add an extra specialties to roll like you can with power abilities...

Re: ...and now for something interesting.

quote:
Before you roll, Plot Points may be spent to…
- Push your dice pool with a d6.
- Add in an extra trait from a trait group (i.e., two powers from a Power Set, or two Distinctions).
- Add a stunt die for your Power Set or Specialty.
- Activate certain special effects (SFX) in a Power Set.

After You Roll, Plot Points may be spent to…
- Add an extra die from your roll to your total.
- Keep an extra effect die.
- Activate an opportunity rolled by the Watcher.
- Activate certain special effects (SFX) in a Power Set.
- Use an effect die from a reaction roll.
- Change stress you’ve taken to another type.

During a Transition Scene, Plot Points may be spent to…
- Add a resource die linked to a Specialty.

Plot Points may be earned when you…
- Use a Distinction negatively.
- Activate a Limit on a Power Set.
- Have an opportunity on your dice activated by the Watcher or another player to add to the doom pool.

I always assumed that you could ... but I see that 'Specialty' is not listed above in the  'Add an extra trait' examples.
They are only examples, though ... an the wording ' Add in an extra trait from a  trait group' speaks to me that you can.

Re: ...and now for something interesting.

Strix, you would almost qualify for a transition scene, but it'll become obvious quite suddenly that things are afoot at Crey Towers.

Tenzing, you can add an additional trait or specialty to your dice pool by spending 1 PP as long as they additional traits/specialties are narratively feasible and/or adequately expressed within your post.

Specialties are considered traits and are subsequent to the same rules.

Reaction/response post upcoming, Daniel will start next round.

Re: ...and now for something interesting.

...because of how CF described how Keystone's attack having no effect, resulting in a miss, I can't narratively add a D10 to the Doom Pool due to the side-effects of Haymaker SFX regarding misses. The rest of the scene isn't in jeopardy if what was about to hit CF gets utterly annihilated.

Re: ...and now for something interesting.

Even though you didn't state it, I figured by the narrative that CF was using his Counterattack SFX.

bugger, sorry:

lets go with

d10 Team
d8   Lady Luck on my side
d10 Luck Manipulation
d8   Durability ... or Stamina (whichever is appropriate)

rolled:    6,3,10,8,6 using d10,d8,d10,d8,d8 with rolls of 6,3,10,8,6.

Total: 18
Effect: d10

Re: Mob or Frostfire?

Well I need to resolve the reaction first. Since Roulette tied the action roll, the action succeeds, however because her effect die tied with the action effect die, it's stepped back one. Roulette has D8 Physical stress as she's fortunately only grazed by a huge slab of flooring that flies past her. I'll make the addition, edit as you see fit to your reaction post.

Re: Mob or Frostfire?

Hi.

Thank CF for the cover.  Nice one.  Flashing lights to cover windwalkers actions.

I hope that what Windwalker did with the Crey Security Detail make more sense now.
One less dice for GM to roll as Windwalker tries to hack the crey system.  And the fight give me some nice cover.

Does this remind you of the Zig?

I do my best to get round to healing you Roulette when I can.  I have skill to us 1 PP to heal you of D10 physical damage so just hold on.  Although a roll should be just as easy.

It did...and rest assured, tampering with Crey Industries proves that they have an amazing response time (when the Countess wants to, that is).
