Fiona:
In reply to Sir Dalan (msg # 842):

I appreciate your "I don't have to be faster than the bear, I only have to be faster than Sir Gracian" sentiments.

Heh. :D

I'm not sure I'd have put it quite like that.

Re: Moving on

I do not have any per-conceived notion about how you can find or eliminate Sir Cormacc, I'll just roll with whatever you come up with and let you know how it works out.  That said, what exactly are you planning?

You do not know exactly where he is, only a rough area.  Horses can travel a fair distance in a day without tiring overmuch, so he could be in most of the northern half of Ireland by now, at least in theory.

In reply to Teller of Tales (msg # 849):

Oof, I assumed he was in a much smaller area and was hoping we could wrap this up quickly. :(

I have to admit I don't really have any ideas on how to track him down and force him to battle.

Re: Moving on

Neither do I. I first imagined a purse of silver and the natural greediness of mankind would do the trick ... :)

There are lots of people around and many are probably not fans for various reasons.  You can probably find people to help for gold or other reasons.

I'm great!  Lousy at posting but great!

Sorry, every time I stop posting for a while it is harder to start again.  I was just thinking about sending out a note.  I think I will try to finish off what I have plotted out in my head and wrap thing up.

Re: Moving on

I understand. I think you did a fantastic job as Teller and even if I will hate to see the campaign die then I understand.

Perhaps there is another game you want to try? I sm sure my Brother-Knight and I will be happy to join. I think we had a good group. A really good one.

Re: Moving on

Same here, while I would be very sorry to see things go I think you did a great job. I know losing players was really disheartening, not to mention a serious problem for the plot but you handled it well GM. :)

I'd second Sir Gracian's comment about trying a new game if you'd like. I play a lot of D&D and WFRP (both of which do have knight types of course) and a few others if you want try something else - I can make suggestions.

Re: Moving on

I personally love the dark humour of WFRP. The setting is (in my mind) more or less perfect. I have never played it though so I know nothing about the rules, but imagine you more or less run around screaming in panic trying to survive. I like that :)

D&D, Pathfinder and GURPS is something I am more used to but I am really up for anything.

Re: Moving on

I am actually plotting out an Amber Diceless Roleplaying Game, if you are familiar with the books by Roger Zelazny.  It is a system and setting I like.

Re: Moving on

No, I am out of ideas.  ;)

We have a lurker who has been watching the game for a while now (although a lot of that has been watching nothing).  He is willing to take over as GM f you guys are interested.

I am going to try to finish up the stuff I had worked out.  I hope that won't take too long.

Re: Moving on

Does that mean Sir Tyngyr will return (one way or another) or are you tired of Pendragon both as player and Teller?

Personally I would love to have you among us Knights again :)

And hello to you Lurker. Good to have you with us. It may have been a slow campaign at times but it is pure magic. Wouldnt mind have you take over as Storyteller as long as you roll the dice. Because I still dont know the rules :D

Re: Moving on

I would be happy to play, in principle, but it may not be a good idea.

The issue would be playing in a game in which I essentially created the world (minus the parts I took from the original GM).  I think I would have a hard time if the people acted differently than I envision them to be.  Fiona, of course, being a great example.  She and a couple of other characters are very complex and fleshed out in my mind and it would be hard if she turned into something different.

Re: Moving on

I guess it makes sense but .. I will still like to play with you.

So what if we created new characters and allowed Lurker to create a new Pendragon campaign?

Re: Moving on

I mean we could still be Dalan, Tyngyr and Gracian but "start over" as young knights. We would have to assign new stats and skills but that is mostly because I cant remember Gracian's original skills.

Come on .. let's ride again!

Come on guys ... shall we? :)

And just a heads-up. I will be gone for the weekend. Going camping with the oldest kid.

And hello Lurker. What Edition are you playing because I had a quick look at the character sheet you provide and there are some of the skills I dont think I have heard about before (Pony Defense for instance).
