Re: Adventure 1: The Iceman Cometh
In reply to Petras Valois (msg # 965):
Joseph ponders for a moment, before answering 'Captain' Petras.
"Well, sir, raising the Union Jack would certainly get us into Gibraltar with ease, but after docking we'd probably have a lot of explaining to do....as this isn't, actually, a British Registered vessel. Though I suppose Mister Grimsby might assist with that difficulty. Maybe."
"Actually, Captain, would it be safe to say that you never did go to any maritime agency, or any other branch of Lithuanian officialdom, to register your ship?" Joseph asks, just a little bit critically.
"Oh, well. Better safe than sorry. You are Lithuanian, you built this ship in Lithuania, so I think it would be best if we fly your Lithuanian flag. I am unaware of any International Issues between Great Britain and your Lithuanian Commonwealth, at the present time, so it should be safe enough."
With a grin, Joseph raises his right hand and 'puts a knuckle' to the brim of his schutztrooper hat,
"Cap'n's permission, I'll go get that flag, and run her up the flagstaff." Joseph says, jauntily, before heading off to the Captain's Cabin--which everyone had explored, previously--to get the Lithuanian Commonwealth flag.
