A Welcome Fit for a Trader
Angels Folly, A world of paradise and pleasure. Being one of the first and few civilized worlds in the Kronus Expanse, it is in charged with documenting, trading with, and welcoming new dynasties to the sector. Angels Folly is one of the few safe havens for trade and worship in the entire expanse.

The world is under the claim of the Solar Dynasty, a rogue trader house of years past. The current owner Captain Stellar, is well known for her interest in collecting ancient and lost heirlooms of her family's dynasty. Currently she is off world attending to the security of the system, the local administration will send you landing coordinates as your lander makes its way into the atmosphere. The Solar Dynasty have been the owners and profiteers of this world for 300 years, the deed passed down from generation to generation.

The air is clean and the land itself seems to be an endless tropical paradise, island after island passes underfoot and it almost seems artificial. You arrive on the planet via landing craft and are welcomed by a royal red carpet and a beautiful representative of the Solar Dynasty dressed in a fantastic dress in an almost ceremonial welcome.

“Welcome to Angels Folly, I am Lady Helia, 8th Daughter of the Solar Dynasty and Knight of Angels Folly. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintances.” She does a well-practiced curtsy and motions for you to follow her down the decorated path.

A concourse is decorated with golden statues of the Emperor and flags of the ruling dynasty shepherd the way to the Administrative district of Angels Folly.  A parade of guardsman and fanfare from local musicians welcome the new Rogue Trader house to the sector. As you begin your walk down the landing zone, you notice the planet lacks the smell of conflict and war. A rare sight nowadays, but Lady Helia assures you that the Solar Dynasty is dedicated to keeping this world free from the outside troubles that may plague the guests that arrive.

After reaching the end of the elegant tapestry, you reach a large ornate marble arch that will lead you out of the landing zone and to the main city.

Before you can pass through, Lady Helia will lift the sleeve on her arm and reveal a skin integrated data slate.

“This will only take a moment” She activates a command on it and several medical and combat servitors are brought out to collect your essential data. Hand prints and blood samples are forcefully gathered, while others armed with heavy ordinance assure compliance with the laws of the land.

Two local administration officers, one older man with dark bags under his eyes and one younger woman with an almost string like figure, arrive and wait for the servitors to finish their collection and approach you with authority.

The older officer greets you with a stern and experienced accent

“My lords, on behalf of the Solar Dynasty we welcome you to Angels Folly. My name is Agent Lorenzo, this is my assistant Diana.”
He gestures to Diana and she gives a respectful bow.
“She will be collecting your names and information to assist our documenting process. I assure you this is a precaution every sanctioned trader goes through when they make first contact, it assists in keeping what little law we have out here.”

Agent Lorenzo motions to Diana to step forward. With eager motion, she readies a data slate and clears her throat.

“Please state your name and your occupation.”

"Cort Vorgen. Hired Gun." he says tersely, and makes no effort to further the conversation.

Content with responding after the Rogue Trader, Sarvus withholds his house name with a courteous smile. "Sarvus of the Navis Nobilite. Navigator of the Empyrean."

Zacharius strides up to Diana, stopping with his face unnecessarily close to hers.

He reaches up to his respirator unit, turns a valve and begins to speak.

++i am the explorator Zacharius, humble servant of the Machine God++

He takes a ragged breath.

++praise the Omnissiah - may His will be manifest++

While he speaks he extends his hand as though to touch the dataslate she holds with his finger tip; he instead retracts it, bows, then steps back.

Diana types at a rapid pace as she finishes inputting the information to her data-slate.

“All finished, m’lords.” Diane gives the data-slate to a servitor and leads you down to the connections promenade. From here you will be able to travel throughout the planet via designated lander vehicles.

“As a reminder m’lords, the only safe way to travel through Angels Folly is with our own registered landers. Any unauthorized vehicles not in the spaceport are marked for termination.” She seems quite pleased with the system as if she had come up with it herself.

After a short walk Diana will take her leave in a hurry, she claims that she has more arrivals that she must process.

You must now find work! There are several places you can visit. The Rogue Trader will split the group into groups of 2 for seperate exploration for work and contacts

Places of interest include:

The Hunters LoungeA city spanning resort and lounge for the nobles to brag about the hunts that they do on their rented islands. The main attraction of this section of the city is the gambling. Bets are often placed on hunts to see how quick they can track and kill exotic beasts from other worlds. The victors of more dangerous hunts often are the most respected on the planet.

The Shrine of Saint GodwinThe patron saint of the local populous, Missionary Godwin led a campaign to cleans the planets previous corrupt and vile administration. He then assisted the Solar Dynasty in reforming it into an established and sanctioned Imperial Outpost. This sector contains areas for worship of the God Emperor and an embassy for the Ecclesiarchy and a small sect of the loyal sisters of battle to guard it.

Steam SectorA large continent that seems to be literally dug out of planet and filled with the working slaves of the planet. Many of the machines and generators that give the planet it’s life and luxury are kept and maintained here. There are many gangs and secessionists that roam around in the bowels of the endless quarry city. Though most slaves worship The God Emperor freely others have abandoned their faith.  The rebellious slaves are more than happy to keep these rebels safe and sound if they bring even the slightest of comforts and hopes that one day they will be free.

Capital DistrictThe Bureaucratic Administration rests here. Joint in with the local Planetary Defense Force(PDF), it is a small city that oversees and regulates the day-to-day activities of the local government. The Spaceport is located here.

High SpireA large tower with the symbols of the Mechanicus embroidered all around it. Just outside the Capital district, it houses the Embassy for the Mechanicus and its loyal members in the sector. They will often make small expeditions off world to excavate and claim ancient technology whenever there is a whisper or rumor of interest.

The Stock YardsThe main shipping and receiving center located outside the Capital District. Every good for trade must go through a rigorous inspection and be categorized and then shipped out to its destination.

In reply to Narrator (msg # 10):

Ramirez motions for the attention of his crew with one hand after brief thought. He draws his other hand out from his coat pocket and begins to delegate, looking first toward the missionary. "Felix. Take Calypso and make your way to the shrine. I know you will keep me aware of any practices or customs that may be... unique in this place."

He then turns to the machine priest. "Zacharius, you will bring Sarvus with you to the High Spire. I trust you both will keep a watchful eye to both opportunity and knowledge during your visit."

After brief pause, he then says, Featherbottom, Notch will accompany you to the Hunter's Lounge. Make business partners and allies where appropriate, but do not linger." He looks toward Notch, "I anticipate you will advise and assist when necessary to protect our interests and uphold our name."

Ramirez then turns to Cort and says,"You're with me."

Ramirez then takes both hands to straighten his jacket, moves his chin up, and addresses all. "Report any and all leads you discover directly to me at the earliest convenience. Everyone, pray to the Emperor for your vigilance. I expect no worthwhile mission to evade our search. If any matters must be brought to my attention, speak them now. Otherwise, begin."

In reply to Malakai Ramirez (msg # 11):

Felix shoves adjusts his chainsword, covered in hand-etched imperial iconography, in his broad, leather belt, and tries to straighten his ragged vestments where they bunched up over a corner of the flak-armor he never seemed to take off.

"Stuck with the blind woman again. Oh well. So let it be written, so let it be done! Follow me, warp-touched one!"

The over-sized priest shouldered his flamer and trundled off to the designated transport without looking to see if the astropath was following.
