The following has nothing to do with you guys. It has everything to do with me.

In another game I was just starting, I noticed that some new players were covertly and deceitfully testing me to see how much they could get away with. When I realized that that was what was happening, I lost all heart for running games anywhere, and haven't even logged into any of my games since then.

I guess I'm just not cut out to deal with the evil side of human nature, and a GM must be able to deal with the evil side of human nature. GMing is really a leadership and social management position, and I am socially inept and the furthest thing from a leader.

For these reasons, I'm giving you the ToS-mandated one week's notice that this game will be deleted on Saturday, August 19, 2017. I shall engage in no further activity in this game before then.

You two have always been good to me and I thank you for helping me enjoy this game while I was still able to enjoy any game. Because you did help me so much, I'm prepared to consent to either of you taking over as GM. You can use this post as evidence to take to the moderators for that purpose.

Barring which, this is the ToS-mandated notice that this game will be deleted on Saturday, August 19, 2017.

I figured something bad happened and was going to happen when you hadn't posted in a while. I am sad to see you go but I know what you mean about human nature. You have taught me a lot about D&D in the short amount of time we have been playing. I hope some day you may pick up DMing again, you are really skilled, good luck to whatever you end up doing with all the time you have been spending with me in these posts.

I too am sorry to hear about the indecency you've experienced. You have created a rich and wonderful world to play in and I hope you will continue to create, even if just for yourself. You seem to have a talent for it. Good luck with your medical issues, and if you do decide to come back to gaming, feel free to shoot me a rmail.
