Don't worry I'm waiting on Ailishi before moving on, you had some very orcish comments :), they are somewhat intimidated just by your looks, Ailishi did roll pretty good though.

Milander had no problem with your approach. Just didn't comment on it because he's waiting for the response.

Re: OOC Thread

In reply to Seralessa Vadmal (msg # 376):

This is the last time I'll discuss it as it is no longer relevant, but Velox was very committed to finding this Aspirant and was extremely offended that you all prioritized eating and resting over her life. He will hopefully get over it, especially if he finds out she was dead before he even knew she was in danger.

Velox is young, idealistic, and not dumb but not smart. He would have done the same had it been any of you out on your own in the wild, if that's any consolation...

I promise I will be a good party member and not encourage us to split the party anymore...

You said this in this OOC thread.
Velox:
In reply to Seralessa Vadmal (msg # 370):

How was he trying to help me? He was trying to stop me :).

Ailishi was trying to stop Velox. Not you. Unless you agree with Velox' point of view, in which case, yes I was trying to stop you.

Of any of us dies, it is IC. Velox can be committed to any cause. Should you have gone alone and should there be a beast with a CR fit to be a challenge to the whole party, it would have been bye bye Velox.

There is no problem with splitting the party. But going alone can be extremely dangerous.

Re: OOC Thread

That was a risk Velox as a character and I as his player was willing to take. I thought that much was clear.

Re: OOC Thread

I think the moral of the story here is simply not to godmode other players, no matter what the reasoning. If Ailishi wanted to stop Velox, he could have said "Ailishi moves towards Velox in an attempt to stop him", not just automatically assuming he succeeded when he was several feet away talking to another NPC. Can we all agree that's fair and drop this dead horse before we start beating it some more?

Re: OOC Thread

Bah, Velox could just shrug him off, which he did. There is no big deal, and it may add to a dramatic effect.

Ailishi puts a hand on Velox' shoulder, dramatically stopping him. Velox just moving forward the next second dramatically going to the druid.

Could Ailishi really change the scene? Not at all. He can't godmode something when the other player still has free reign over Velox.

The situation would be far differente if we were in the middle of a battle. Then yes, that would have been out of order. But right now that we are out of initiative, it is such an issue?

At least, we all know how our roleplaying partners like to play and we can take measures to not spoil anyone's fun.

Re: OOC Thread

Did Velox hear this:

quote:
"She's dead, shouldn't of been poking her nose in other folks business. You know you have to feed the dogs sometimes. You might of got the better of me and my boys, but we aren't the only ones, we are organized, and they'll have another group assigned to our area within a week."

At the time you were 100 yards away, so make a Listen check, there will be a -2 penalty to it. If so you heard it.

Re: OOC Thread

Everyone was presumably at the Verbobonc call for bandit hunters (well except Elmo and Furnok so they are probably unaware as far as you know). Whether they remember or not is up to them.

You hear Velox

It'll have to wait til morrow sorry bedtime for me :)

I did glance at the thread, the idea of taking the guys back for trial isn't a bad idea overall. You might not be able to prove banditry but you might could prove murder.....

Re: OOC Thread

Here's what was said:

quote:
"So you've come to fight bandits, that's good. I'm glad you took the time to come here. I'm willing to assist you as far as we can. However unlike the old days we cannot take the fight to the field of battle as we have obligations to the town and this fortress. I believe the Viscount of Verbobonc has placed a bounty on the scalps of bandits. You may collect that bounty here if you wish rather than traveling back to Verbobonc. I do not believe either of you are wizards, but if you have such in your group I could arrange to assist them with scrolls if you like, perhaps even exchange a spell or two." Burne continues.

Velox has no problem with killing these bandits for the bounty, they deserve death that's clear. But torture is evil and he's with Albrecht in his stance that we should stop that.

Re: OOC Thread

Meh... torture is always immoral... but not always evil. :)

And sometimes acting immorally is an act of good, that overshadows the immorality.

Re: OOC Thread

I would imagine Albrecht and Ailishi are within arm's reach of each other and the bandit leader. If that's why you're asking.
