A thank you for the new moderation pollocy.

I don't know if anyone has posted anything about it but I would defiantly like to thank the moderators for changing there policy of how they handle moderation.

In the past I've been kinda frustrated by there foul language rules, but I appreciate the leanacy on there rules.

But they have done one better and no longer just remove sections of a post but leave a note of what text was removed when they do so. You can't edit the post after that though, but eh... least people like me with poor memory can see what got cut and fix what was wrong and re-post, and I appreciate that a LOT!

Thanks, I no longer dread the main section rMail notification. lol

Use to cringe seeing that because I knew stuff I typed was gone forever.

A thank you for the new moderation pollocy.

That isn't a new policy.  We have left explanations on moderated posts for the last several years (since at least January 2008).

Oh, must have just been the person that did it... x.x

I've always got explanations, but they left the text they edited in private text, and that was new and a nice change.

A thank you for the new moderation pollocy.

That has also been normal procedure since at least 2008* - if we're going to edit or delete a post then it makes sense to show the poster why.

*I'm saying 2008 because that's when I became a mod, so that's the earliest date that I know we did it.

A thank you for the new moderation pollocy.

I think you might be misremembering.

If a whole post is deleted then nothing is actually removed from the thread, it is just hidden, but the poster can still read it (and the Mod message is tacked onto the end of it).  This is automatic.
