What have they done that warrants reporting?  Dramatic may be unappealing, but there's not really any policy against it.  Overt in what way?  Unless they're actually violating the Terms of Use or any of the site policies, there's nothing to report.  Moderators don't get involved in issues of personal aggravation over someone's behavior.

Now...if they're actually violating RPOL policy in some way, I think you rMail the moderators about it.  That's how you report most other issues on RPOL...

How do I report someone?

RPoL Moderators do not get involved in in-game disputes, and there is no rule against being dramatic or overt.

If you have an issue with someone in a game, the person you should discuss it with is the GM.  Ultimately, it is their call if the behavior is something they want to allow in their game, so long as it doesn't violate site policy.

If this is an issue on the public boards, please direct our attention to it.  If the issue is in rmail, the 'block' function is available.

. . . "so long as it doesn't violate site policy." . . .

But, if It is an in game violation of site policy.. it is good form to warn the GM about it in case as overt as you find it, the violation was missed, or miss understood.

Which may end with the GM or you contacting the moderators.

Re: How do I report someone?

for my part? If you are the GM, and you don't like the player's ways...you cut the player. Its your game, you are supposed to be having  fun as well.

If you are another player, you send the GM  a PM explain  why you  feel 'oppressed'

If the GM doesn't have issue  with that player, You may need to move on?

Bottom line? There are tons of Games at this site,  there is  NO REASON...to keep a player you do not want, if they are  making the game you run.....'not  fun'.

if you are a plyer, and another Player  is  making it  'not fun' walk away ( after  sending a note to the GM  , telling   that GM you are leaving and why)

Re: How do I report someone?

If it is in a game, and not one you are running, do be sure to tell the GM, and wait to hear back.  It's possible, even likely this person is annoying other players too, and if so, the GM probably would be smart to get rid of him, before he drives away all the others.

Re: How do I report someone?

How I usually handle that stuff is subtle teasing and stuff. If it's IC/also IC, it makes it easier to screw around with them. Seriously, people who get obnoxiously dramatic or play Mary sues HATE it when you don't take them seriously.

However not everyone has the patience to endure it to do this. I just wanted to say something unique. Yea, don't report someone for sucking; that's what you do in League of Legends. Talk to them or the GM. If you're the GM, have a discussion about it, and if it continues, cut them off.

I as both GM and player have found this to be true. The one that bothers me the most is the one that has some kind of Charisma related power, and they write about how all the NPCs are like BAMF into them or whatever, and I pointedly write how my character doesn't pay them any attention. I specifically get the game's equivalent of Indomitable, Unfazeable, or whatever, because I don't like being told how your character has an ability to make my character react however you want.

I've actually had players who write ueber social characters come to me (as another player) and I'm like "Yeah, I'm immune, so if you wanna impress my character your writing has to impress me personally. Which isn't all that hard, just stop saying 'I'm doing this in a charismatic way, or saying this charismatic thing' and do something charismatic, or steal a movie line or something."
