you can roll dice by the single roll, or a whole string at one time..yu can have the total..or each individual dice. the best thing? when you have time..is play with it..try different dice.. different ways.. after a few moments , you'll have it down pat. it is even more expansive for the GM/DM..because you are able to tag who the role is for and why.

The box at the top defines what you roll (on the left a set number of a certain die on the right a formula of dice). Below that is how you modify what you rolled above. So yes, if you put in a formula (like 3d6+2) and then select 'Re-roll 1s' and 'Drop Lowest' and Roll 4,1(5),2 the result will be 11. It rerolls the 1 to a 5 and drops the 2.

If you look a little farther down on that Help page, you'll find some instructions for placing Dice Roller links in text. There, you can set the dice to roll, the game system, and options like rerolling and dropping/keeping dice. It's especially helpful to use this on character sheets -- in the places where you have a die-roll bonus or number of dice listed, substitute that part with a formatted link to the die roller. For instance, in a d20-based game, you might have a spot on your sheet that says Initiative +2 If, instead, you make it say Initiative [dice=1d20+2 memo="Initiative" text="+2"] You'll see the same text, but the "+2" will be a link that pops up the die roller with everything filled in.
