OOC

Hey, player 8.  Why not try a Headhunter with psi-implants from Psyscape?  That would make for an unusual tech-based merc.

OOC

I will probably switch to something with less overlap in function than what others are playing, Feel free to take a heavy man at arms type if you want it was just the thing that seemed to fit the early discussion.

I certainly haven't decided yet. I just made the list to get a better idea what the rest of you wanted. And I assumed that a few might like that list as well ;)

OOC

I was thinking one of the following:
Super Powered City Rat looking for adventure
Super Powered Operator
Some kind of non-human Shifter
Some kind of non-human Ley Line Walker

That might be an idea. Another I¨m thinking of is making a Psi-tech with partial conversion. The loss in ISP will suck but I really love the idea ;)

I was also planning on being a full conversion anti vamp borg. However I don't want to steal player 2's thunder

Re: OOC

Don't worry about me, even if I went with a borg I would bring plenty of unique thunder, but do feel free to 'take' the slot as I won't likely be using it in a group this big.

Re: OOC

I'm running some concepts by the GM to see which ones he likes best.  I always find a way to bring a unique twist to my characters, so doubling up isn't so bad.

Re: OOC

I'm looking at running a hatchling.  I'm completely new to Rifts (just started reading up on it a few days ago) and I like magic-using characters, so the new-hatched dragon gives me an excuse to not be solid on the lore just yet.

Anyone interested in having a Hatchling following on their coattails and thinking they know everything about everything?

Re: OOC

So.. I'm shaping up my Elven Robo-Jock in my head and flicking through sourcebooks. As you do, because, Siembieda. At the moment he's looking ex-military turned merc and I'm wondering if anyone would be interesting having a past connection with him, or even being part of the robot crew if I picked up a 'bot that needs a gunner or a comms officer?

Likewise, with where everyone else's choices are heading I'm wondering whether to slip down to power armour so I'm less a railgun magnet... or whether I should be heading for a particular subset of robots if I stayed there?

Any thoughts?

@10, I'm happy to shepherd a hatchling though won't pretend to know much about magic IC

Re: OOC

*Bares teeth and growls at Player 10.*

Just kidding, glad to have you along Player 10!

But be warned the book says dragons typically don't get on well together when they get older.  Especially males.

Cool, I'll put effort into making my hatchling not a pain in the arse and aim for being helpful...ish.   LOL

By the die roller I would be starting at 5 days old, and will be 80% of full size in about 8 weeks.  Oh boy Dragon Hatchling going through his growth spurt!  :D

That is, unless the GM wants me to go with max age for starting.

Otherwise, I will start on the making of the character.

Shiny, it would tie up nicely with the techno-biased Elf having someone explain magic stuff to him as well :)

Re: OOC

AH!  Loophole!  Hey Player 10, what species are you looking at?

Was reading some more and it seems we could learn to be friends if we are different species.

I was looking at Flame Wind dragon, but I could go with Cat's Eye dragon instead if that helps.  :D

Re: OOC

I'm looking at Royal Frilled for the starting magic ability and longer metamorphosis.  Even as same species as hatchlings we'd be okay.  Also, I will probably go female and with our ages/types/sexes we'll probably be peachy-keen.  (Unless you're wanting to RP some friction to start then I'd be up for running male.)

Friction is fine with me.  You play whatever sex you want.

Got some unexpected errands that came up so I may be offline for a while.  Be back later!

Re: OOC

Now that my internet has stabilized again, hi!

So I'm currently looking at a Cyber-Doc, especially after seeing that several of y'all are going borg.  Let's do this thing!  I can patch you up; you can keep the monsters and Dead Boys off of me!

Re: OOC

Regarding level, the thing most people don't realize is that Palladium is not like most other RPGs.  Your first level character is already a veteran.
To change OCC, you must be ready to level up to at least second.  You take the powers/abilities of the new OCC and the OCC skills, but NO bonuses.  You have to earn enough experience to make it to second level for "simple" OCCs, or third level for "complex" OCCs.  Then you become FIRST level with ALL OCC and Related skills, powers/abilities, and bonuses.  So, your basic fist level character starting out already has had enough experience to be second or third level just to get to that first level.  You can have a pretty rich back story.

Re: OOC

lol the rules for changing OCC is like most other paladium rules: Tedious, confusing and without much sense ;) As someone who have played Rifts since I got my dirty hands on the first book back in '91 I really advice against them.

On stats: Too bad they aren't maxed :D  I'm going to be so wimpy next to dragons, superhumans, tattooed men and crazies :D

You can be the one using my anti-vamp mind control computer program I turn on when the undead show up.
