Re: OOC

Since the Ley-Line Walker looking one isn't exactly available as a target anymore, Kahl will go for one of the others. Whatever one isn't being attacked. If both of the remaining two are being attacked, whichever one is closest to another teammate.

Re: OOC

You need to know the range of a dead mage?  Just in case I wasn't clear, he is quite dead.  Not mostly dead.  As in even his donor card is worthless dead. ;) Even counting MD as only x10, that's a crapload of damage.

Ok, since the juicer is basically under control, the mage is dead, we'll target the merc bringing up the rear.

I hope everyone enjoyed their new years.  I apparently had too much fun.

Can Darvin use the forcefield-encapsulated juicer as a vollyball?

HAH, I thought he was using magic to fly away, not 'chunky salsa flying through the air' flying away.

I wasn't planning on breaking through it.  Intentionally.  I just wanted an oppurtunity to spike him over the altar remains.....

Re: OOC

Unless you are in the force bubble with someone you can't get to them without breaking it, that is just about the point behind the force bubbles.

Ariel is also inside a force bubble, so while line of sight spells can technically target her, that is probably just a waste of time.

Re: OOC

Edited the post then to pop that onto Kalh, who may need it. Ariel behind that much shielding probably wont any time soon.

Re: OOC

The idea is not to actually hurt him, though the bubbles would eventually take enough damage to pop.  The idea is more the cartoony spectacle and humiliation.  He's protected, but the bubble is being bounced around like a pinball with him in it.

Or a giant hamster wheel. We should start derisively calling him "Hamster" if you're able to pull off that move.

Re: OOC

Suddenly, I'm reminded of a song by a once famous singer named Bobby Vee:

Bobby Vee:
Rubber ball, I come bouncin' back to you
Rubber ball, I come bouncin' back to you

I'm like a rubber ball
Baby that's all that I am to you (bouncy, bouncy) (bouncy, bouncy)
Just a rubber ball....

Re: OOC

I think you misunderstand which power is being used, these are Psionic TK forcefields, they do not move under any circumstances.

For what its worth, I totally pictured what you were trying to do. If the rules allowed for it, it would have been hysterical. ^_^

Re: OOC

It would be interesting, perhaps someone could work up a custom spell to that effect, psionics dont really do custom very well in this system.

Re: OOC

In reply to Darvin Jaster (msg # 543):

In that case... anchor it to an ICBM. Good bye!

Or a particularly nasty way to deathtrap someone: Anchor it to a giant stone, then drop the guy in the ocean. He'll survive as long as his air in the bubble holds out, and with an MD bubble probably get REALLY deep before the bubble actually bursts, then all that water would crash in and kill him.

Actually, is the bubble airtight? Could you just suffocate someone? Would it hold in poison gas (or even smoke from a smoke grenade?) You could suffocate someone pretty nastily that way if you could time it so the bubble surrounded them just as the grenade went off. Trapping a vampire in there with something wet would be a trip also.

Re: OOC

Those are all interesting Gabriella but I went a different way. Imagine using it to shield paratroopers on their way down? Or if it was part of a TW Field Medic kit so that medic could get to immediate work on a patient without worrying (much) about taking fire? Or as a form of missiles defense? A TW Missile defense system that tracks incoming missiles and places a bubble around them. They still technically hit their Target but when they explode, their payload is completely contained. That would work especially well for dealing with chemical and biological attacks.

I'm sure if we spent enough time on it we could come up with all sorts of nonstandard uses for the spell. ^_^

Re: OOC

I played a Mind Mage in a PFRPGonce who used a TK Forcefield to trap a vampire.  He kept changing the shape of it until the vampire was prone, then sat atop him while pressing a silver dagger over the heart with his full weight.  He then dispelled it....  Did I mention the Mind Mage was an Ogre?

Re: OOC

It's a just a called shot.  Did something similar with Kobold Acrobat who had tumbling (and a 2d6 kick) against an Orc in plate armor in a Palladium FRPG once.  Rolled a Natural 20 on that one, got max damage on the roll.  GM decided the Orc was going to ever reproduce for two reasons.  One, the codpiece broke and went into his crotch.  Two, it was enough damage to kill him.
