The thud of a vile goblin's severed head slamming into the firm earthen floor of the dank and dimly lit warren a good foot away from its twitching body quickly gave way to Ando's cry for help. Unlike the others, he hadn't been hired to rescue the aristocrat's kidnapped infant. No, he'd ventured into the goblin warren all alone without so much as a word to anyone other than a courier, whom he used to send word to Hollengarde, after hearing simply hearing of the predicament while passing through the town. It was a detour from his search for the Bayard and the Eye of Vecna, but he wouldn't have been able to consider himself much of a Legionnaire if he'd ignored such a plight. So it was that he found himself navigating the seemingly endless tunnels of the warren. Because he was alone, he had prioritized stealth, well prioritized it as much as his bulky armor allowed anyway. Indeed, his armor had betrayed his efforts by revealing his position to a pair of goblins he encountered a few hours into his adventure. Mystra smiled upon him even in this deplorable place it seemed, as they were poorly armed and likely poorly trained. Indeed, the goblins weren't any match for him. The first fell to a masterful, electrified strike from Valendol which caved in its skull. Meanwhile, the second met a most unpleasant end by way of a vine whip rife with razor sharp thorns as it tried to flee upon witness the swift dispatching of its partner.
Instinctively, Selim brandished his steel scutum in the general direction of Ando's voice shining a brilliant, pale blue light down the corridor to illuminate the way while a thorn-covered vine nearly as long as he was tall withered away at his feet with unnatural speed.
"Mother of All Magic guide me," spoke the young Legionnaire as he charged toward Ando's voice. From the loud clanging of his armored boots, it was clear to any nearby that he'd abandoned his previous attempt at stealth in favor of rescuing the owner of the disembodied voice as swiftly as possible. Although the voice's use of common all but assured Selim that he was charging into a rescue rather than a trap, he exercise a small degree of caution all the same by not calling back to the voice. After several minutes, Selim arrived at the chamber where Ando was trapped, his presence and approach spoiled well in advance by his noisy armor and steps and the pale blue light shining brightly from his shield. Once Ando's pupils contracted enough, he'd easily note the Mystran amulet around his neck and symbol emblazoned on his shield.
"Selim Soltani," Selim began cordially while surveying the situation before him,
"Eight Division knight of the Legion of the Steel." Ando would easily notice that Selim hadn't come from the direction of the noisy fighting from earlier, though he'd certainly made his fair share of noise in his haste to get to Ando. Consequently, Selim was much too far away from the larger group to hear its noisy battle and thus was wholly unaware that there were any other would-be rescuers in the warren. Heck, if he'd been any noisier during his journey, he easily might not have heard Ando.
"Who might you be good sir, and what are you doing in a place like this?" Finding what appeared to be a good line to try and cut open hardened mucus binding Ando, Selim drew Almasy, his steel dagger, from its holster at the right side of his waist then set to work.

Note: Still working on Selim's appearance. For now, just envision him as looking like a typical European knight in armor. Also, I chose to establish Selim as having entered the warren from a location different from the main group to avoid either forcing a retcon on Ando's post by making him a prisoner alongside Ando or repeating Ando's introduction by making Selim a prisoner elsewhere in the dungeon. Pretty much went for the second most direct way to get Selim together with everyone. :)
