Re: Phlan and the Moonsea

Ando nods.

“That’s probably my cue then, unless Zeliel is the stealth type???”

Ando is not naturally sneaky, but he’s Unarmored so has a better shot than the dwarf, and can see in the dark so has a better shot than the human.

What to roll?

Re: Phlan and the Moonsea

More about me?  Certainly!  I was raised in a modest home...parents all loving and all that.  My heritage was never really held against me...I mean Celestial blood is not as shunned as some from...shall we say darker pasts?

Like many of my ilk, I trained under the clergy thinking that was my lot in life.  I was wrong.  It seemed the blood in my veins drew on a more arcane might and leaning, so I was thrown...I mean...i chose to leave the clerical order in other pursuits.  I travel the realms seeing where I might give a hand in matters.  And now I find myself here!

There is so much more to tell, but I have not heard any tell of any of my new companions either!  This is fun!  Who shall go next?

Stretching your senses outward you get the most solid perception that the orcs while brutes did in fact leave a sentry behind. You can almost hear its low breathing on this side of the door. Seeing the realization on your face Gannor's eyes narrow as he draws on the bow string to his bow. He looks around the room to each party member his eyes speaking for him.

Zeliel nods and summons forth arcane energy, ready to unleash it at a foe.  He looks at the others who may not have noticed and with his eyes tries to tell them the story of the enemy that awaits...waiting for one a little stouter to lead the way, once the enemy is truly revealed he will unleash his arcane attack.

Re: Phlan and the Moonsea

"Right." Ando whispered. He pointed at Gannor and made a gesture suggesting he's a jerk for going ranged. The fighter should go first, but it's not a problem, Ando isn't an armored tank, but most enemies will find it hard to hit him.

Ando will attempt to open the door with stealth and sneak attack...probably not strong enough to put the orc in a choke hold.

Ando Corleon rolled 15 using 1d20+7 ((8)).

Yes thanks. Got 26. That was stealth.

Next step is to try to choke hold/keep him from shouting for help, which figuring being a monk I can dex roll a choke hold but I rolled 10 on attack. Can I take advantage on my attack as well?

Crap that’s an 8 so 10.

Ando sneaks up on the orc but when he goes to knock the enemy out with a kung fu claw to the throat he merely manages to dent the ogre shoulder blade bone on the Orcs armor.

Re: Phlan and the Moonsea

Most kind and gracious DM! thank you! I also realized I can roll twice when i do unarmed strikes, and I forgot to add proficiency, so I was doing a lot of bad last week. :0
17:51, Today: Ando Corleon rolled 9 using 1d4+5.  dmg.
17:51, Today: Ando Corleon rolled 26 using 1d20+7.  bonus unarmed strike.
17:50, Today: Ando Corleon rolled 8 using 1d4+5.  dmg.
17:49, Today: Ando Corleon rolled 21 using 1d20+7.  finesse atk (inspiration).
15 damage total.

Casting his doubts and fears aside, Ando strikes at the pressure points in the orc's neck.

The orc grunts once sending spittle and mucus flying, before going rigid. It falls heavily onto the mud and flagstone floor, splashing on the small pools of water that have formed on the floor from the dripping ceiling overhead.

(Congrats! thats one orc down! and 100 XP divided among the # of people in the party, minus Gannor as I normally advance NPCs by the needs of the game VS points). What does the party do next?
