Adv 2a Battle with the zombie lord.

Assume Rock of Bral is in Realmspace.
NPC Loren - escaping in ship - could go to underside of the Rock (monster race), leave the crystal sphere, or head to the Forgotten Realms (nearby).
NPCs loan PCs ship and force them to go after (traditionally).
Can make NPC decision - assume they would go to FR. Potentially an evil god would've granted the 'gift of eternal life' and would have a specific agenda, which as the 'dark bargain' Loren would need to do.
-use random adventure generator, 3E DMG: 68 - 'a sorceror attempts to travel ethereally, but disappears completely in the process' - related to his Planar Travel power? (though its random). Possibly just wants to spread hordes of undead over a new universe (which would be his worshippers). Assume takes a week to recharge - objective would be to 'lie low' for a wek on FR somewhere.

17:23, Today: Arek rolled 9 using 1d20.  bad guys crashing - low is worse.
17:21, Today: Arek rolled 19 using 1d20.  save vs. crash (good guys chasing).
17:18, Today: Arek rolled 3,7 using d20,d20.  ship chase - bad guys, good guys.
17:15, Today: Arek rolled 3 using 1d6.  Check not actually Al-Qadim (1 in 6).
17:13, Today: Arek rolled 5 using 1d6.  Planetfall - FR 1-4, Kara-Tur 5, Maztica 6.

Bad guys in lead - being caught up with, heading into atmosphere (crashing) to escape.
A distance away - PC ship survived, zombie lord would survive and (with some lead) either hide or go somewhere to start making zombies?

17:28, Today: Arek rolled 33 using 1d100.  crash site - distance to habitation (low = yes).
="Nearby".
17:33, Today: Arek rolled 10 using 1d100.  Check city size - is city [say 11% roll low].
[including 11 to give chance of doubles]
-city, unlikely to enter - outside, starts converting people into zombies in farmland. 1 in 6 (save negates) in area, some zombies will be killed or damaged by other survivors. Say 200 people converted into 25 zombies to fight through before reaching the zombie lord.
Need to get to him within the day before the death power recharges.

17:38, Today: Arek rolled 15 using 1d20.  Jury-rig - building gas mask :) (roll under).
[failed due to time constraints - something to do later]. Should be able to wrap bandages etc. around face for +2 to save, say. Poison attack rather than true magic.

Adventure 2

Resolution: killed 25 zombies - rolling d10s - 9 (webbed), 10, then last 6 + Zombie Lord.
Eventually destroyed with Arek having taken 45 damage, Torvil 14, Drax 2.
Drax and Arek failed saves and got a fatal wasting disease from cause disease - CLW doesn't work. Cured back at Rock of Bral.
Dimension doored away from kara-tur-ians to avoid awkward questions (200 peasants killed).

Other rewards - ? Xp 3000 (950 at 38/zombie for 25 zombies, 2000 for zombie lord with extra powers - equivalent of 12 HD monster including +1 for extra HP).

Gamma World - transport goes to random continent ? Dream Travel could help. So, Antaeus + Arek would go (others left on the Rock - convenient due to small size).
