Tunnels & Trolls

-planar travel to world that has a) lots of gold and b) where stat-raise magic is common (so rest of party has a chance to do stuff).

Weapons: super-expensive in T&T, so assume normal T&T weapons are 'masterwork' ?

weights - Trollworld probably has higher gravity

House rules:
30th Anniversary Edition
1 Talent per level [+3 skill as per Deluxe]
Warriors get +1d per level (not doubled if using 2 weapons)
Minimum SR of 4 (1+2 autofail only)
Converting stats of [4d6-L]; since some D&D chars are 3d6. No TARO on stats therefore.

Wizardry in use.


T&T - ideal dungeon would be "Dargon's Dungeon" since allows groups ?
Deathtrap Equalizer - since mirror adventure is on another 'plane', could use planar travel to get into specific scenario (if known about), or out of.

Converted SN score as Luck (most animals have adds/high Luck; Luck saves often used for perception)
Using: 5E rules + additional 7E rules as applicable.

Original Revised Stats:
STR 19 [includes +7 for diamond hand]
DEX 24  - reduce bow SR's by 1 level (City of terrors), x2 (+12) diamond hand
CON 51 [=GW/D&D base hit points; effectively x3.5 racial multiplier]
INT 10
LK: 62 (no saving throw vs. magic) --incl +31 (x2) for diamond hand
CHA: 6 [9, -7 robot recognition mod, +1 eye mod][+3 BIB spell]
SPD: 16 [=wings MP score]
WIZ: 0 [x0 racial multiplier as GW character]

With Omniflex spell, switching ST and SN (LK), switching DEX and Int. [keeping Dex 12 in T&T to allow longsword use and so Int off 2, mirrors +1 Dex in D&D]

CON: 56 [includes +5 for fight w/ soulsucker]
INT: 30 [incl. +3 for talking to Lorac]
LK: 29  [after Omniflex, added another +10 LK for L5)

Duality :
-can apply full STR/DEX to each hand for weapon use; or take a second action instead. [consistency wise; shouldn't really be stronger, but a normal Str 12 character could use a sword in one hand + a shield, so not inconsistent if offhand is equal strength)

Armour - 1/2 scale mail + carapace:  [10 hits front/Carapace MP [10] back]

Medium (Standard) sword = 4d [Str 12/Dex 12]. (longswords are long; from Deluxe)
Total combat roll: 8d+19

Talents: Survival, Sailor, Planar Studies, Riding

Notes: 1 in 6 chance of magic failure (includes beneficial spells)
Total Healing can be used to arrest poison attacks.


Double xbow deals 8d, with +1 level to base archery SR.
2 daggers (treat as dirk, 2+1).

Magical black pearl (500 GP) - allows holder to see in the dark
Ring with cat's head - control any animal in the cat family.

DIAMOND HAND: +7 STR (just in hand?), +20 LK and +20 DEX, worth 5000 GP but dies if cut off.



Planar travel used to open portal to tiny dysfunctional femtoplane (Basic Immortals, 3d no magic works) - warehouse sized, now has air. Walked in, walked out - curse unable to trigger as magic-dead: 100 T&T GPs also stored there.

When hit with sword - 1/4 CON or MR transferred to your Str for one combat turn.
If you try to get rid of this sword, your Str and Con are dropped to 10 permanently.
If carried but not used, subtracts 20 from Dexterity (minimum 1 ?)
Once drawn, must be blooded in an hour (6 turns) or causes wielder to attack nearest being; if alone, will turn on you and slay you.

Becoming a Specialist: potentially if could get a 3d6d stat gain doubles on that would let someone add 'specialist' ?

soulsucker fight - shows can get around lack of saves using telepathy.

"Lucky Human" - Deluxe human ability to make a second attempt at a saving roll, if it didn't fumble (=roll of 3).

A kindly old man leads you to the target range. There he teaches you the proper
way to use a bow. You learn quickly and he is very happy. Because of his instructions, you
may reduce your saving roll by 1 level on any future shots with bow and arrow. You thank
your host and he leads you to the door.

Right hand cut off, replaced with three-fingered gremlin hand (retractable talons, 3d)[=d6 D&D damage).

City of Terrors - status notes - killed Zaarg, Dar, Seth. Avenged on Achmed. Master Rogue - ran away after robbed, aware of existence of aliens (visit with portal?). Mingor thinks Arek is a monster (roll of 12 on 2d6)...ran away with a 34 roll.
