Re: OOC Tales

Fixing the handle of the toilet turned into a twice flooded utility room, leaky water heater. $500 later a new water heater installed.

Stressful stuff, especially with a baby, and me not being the least bit handy.

Luckily family was in a position to front me the money to buy a new heater <waiting for tax return> instead of a used one, and was quite handy installing.

Hurley (temp):
How do you want to go about having us look for more non-sentient prey for the Beast, there, GM?

Let's have you all roll for it if she's going to hunt tonight. She fed, so she should be fine, and a DT roll of 2 will get her back to her non-monster self. There will be plenty of game the next night.

Sorry to hear about all the water heater troubles. Hopefully there's no extensive water damage.

We got it soaked up relatively quick, but  dont know yet. Have a day off tomorrow, so i can get under the house and see. Didn't seem like any hidden pipe damage so fingers crossed.

Roll what? Intellect?

Sorry to hear about the troubles, Troph!

Re: OOC Tales

Very good. Will do.

Fair notice: I will be traveling for work this coming week and as a result may miss a day of posting here or there Monday-Thursday.

Re: OOC Tales

Arryanna, you will have transformed back to normal by now.

Will you all be crashing here or traveling throughout the night. You've already missed a night of sleep, so continuing on might be ill advised...

I hadn't discussed that yet IC because the party wasn't reunited. Waiting for Arry so we can do that.

Re: OOC Tales

Hurley wasn't working as hard :-) Took the Hours recovery on Intellect and the overnight recovery on Might.

09:39, Today: Hurley rolled 2 using 1d6+1 with rolls of 1.  Intellect Recovery.

GM, could we pretty please bypass roleplaying this out for three more nights? I'd like to get to something more interesting. If you were thinking about some kind of intrusion, though, feel free, or if you want us to roll to see if something interesting happens with a fail, that's all good. I just don't want to rinse-wash-repeat narratively.

Trophonius Delphi rolled 6 using 1d6+3.  10 hour recovery.

There may be discovery as early as tomorrow ...

Re: OOC Tales

My plan, if that's okay with you folks, is to only play the calyptor hunt and then we can hand waive the whole Hurley-talking-the-monster-down bit, then we'll skip ahead to Gtharren Valley. How does that sound?

Re: OOC Tales

That's everyone. GM, move us ahead at your convenience.

FYI, I'm traveling for work Monday, when I'll probably be able to post normally; Tuesday and Wednesday I may not be able to post much. If I'm holding anything up Tuesday or Wednesday, go ahead and NPC me. I doubt that will happen, though.

Re: OOC Tales

So, can I make an Intellect check to help plot out the hunt? If so, what DT would it be?

Re: OOC Tales

Yes you can. For me to give you a DT, what do you want to gain or accomplish by plotting out the hunt?

Re: OOC Tales

I want to observe the beasts for a bit and determine: a. where they are headed to; b. where they are most likely to flee to and c. any choke points or logical places for Arry to wait to take advantage of their likely route.

I'd like to make my Flex Skill related to this task for the day, then. Is that okay with you?

Re: OOC Tales

So, based on what we saw, if Hurley sat in the tree and made a big noise, could he break up the pride's run and expose more critters to the Beast that way?

Re: OOC Tales

That would be a higher difficulty task, as herding animals find strength in numbers and are more likely to tighten up in a group the more they become threatened. I would say DT6.
