Arell is from a prominent temple of Abadar (maybe the prominent temple if it's close enough).  He was raised there (orphan), had the heyday of his time adventuring in its service (purposefully vague), and remains loyal to the temple even yet.

2. Why did you leave home?
The post in Falcon's Hollow was open and his higher-ups (rightly so or not) thought him the best person for the job.

3. Why are you in the frontier town of Falcons Hollow and how long ago did you arrive?
Arell works for the mayor as combination clerk and barrister...and anything else the mayor is too busy for.  He holds himself as the sort of cop that knows everyone's name and is more inclined to offer the hand than the truncheon...and has for the past fifteen years.

4. What is your characters primary motivation in life at this junction.
Arell stands for the people of Falcon's Hollow, for good or ill.  He wishes them well and hopes to guide them there even as his own life languishes in obscurity.  What ambitions and follies of his youth have faded into the background.  There is only the calling.

5. Success for your character would be what?
Arell starts the story in a very "wrong" place.  He is a cog in a machine that barely turns, desperately looking for satisfaction in places where there is none.  That's not his destiny however--he's an adventurer yet, and therefore either ought to die in his mansion, surrounded by loved ones and the wealth fealty to Abadar provides, or die a hero's death ramming his sword through a town-squishing monster's skull.

Riverspire, Kyonin, A small city near the border of Druma and at the head of the Kyonin river.

2. Why did you leave home?
Parents lost their business due to corrupt nobility. Varianna seeks to either raise enough money to bribe the nobles into returning her parents shop to them or to build a good enough reputation to get an audience with the Queen of Kyonin and explain her and her parents' plight.

3. Why are you in the frontier town of Falcons Hollow and how long ago did you arrive?
Passing through and found some decent lock-smithing work and has stayed here. Now with the need for a cure to the plague she has decided to help to build up her name...and get a few coins if the people here feel so inclined.

4. What is your characters primary motivation in life at this junction.
Doing good in the world or accumulating enough wealth to help her parents.

5. Success for your character would be what?
Getting the shop back, and earning her parents approval.

Tarack was not sure were his parents came from, or their clan.

2. Why did you leave home?
Tarack had always suspected that they were worshipers of Droskar, Dwarf God of toil, slavery, and cheating and at some point their place of power was destroyed but they managed to flee. Through their travels, the family tried to avoid other dwarves.

3. Why are you in the frontier town of Falcons Hollow and how long ago did you arrive?
Tarack would have arrived at Falcons Hollow within the last couple of years in search of a stable income.

4. What is your characters primary motivation in life at this junction.
For the now, Tarack is still looking for a place to belong and be accepted.

If he can find a place to belong, he thinks that he will be happy.

1. Where are you from.
Oregent. Quote from the wiki: Oregent is located in central Andoran, south of the town of Olfden. Its proximity to a silver mine and several streams allow the city's tradesmen access to the raw materials required for the settlement's production of glass and silver goods. The city contains numerous bell towers used to warn of earthquakes and to send coded messages or warnings

2. Why did you leave home?
As stated in my RTJ, my parents were killed by robbers and I was raised by half-elves in the woods near Oregent.
I later became a caravan guard, left the caravan and became an adventurer.
My profession is guard.

3. Why are you in the frontier town of Falcons Hollow and how long ago did you arrive?
I arrived one week before the start of the campaign. I am part of a group of 5 adventurers who are looking for ancient dwarven
treasures in the old dwarven settlements in the Five Kings Mountains.
If the GM thinks the other adventurers can't be in Falcons Hollow anymore, then I suggest they have left, because of family business and I was the only one who stayed behind in Falcons Hollow.

4. What is your characters primary motivation in life at this junction.
I want revenge on every robber in the world for the harm they did to my parents and to me, making me an orphan.

5. Success for your character would be what?
As stated in my RTJ, Rennick would like to arrange a surprise attack on a camp with at least 15 robbers, taking their loot as a revenge for what happened to Renneck in his youth! Success would be complete if after the raid on the robbers, they could surprise the merchants who're trading with these robbers and take their wealth too!

Character Creation

1. Where are you from?
Nomerendal was raised in Falcon's Hollow and that's been home going back as far as his earliest memories reach. His parents never spoke about where they came from, nor did Nom ever think to ask. It just seemed that life had always been this way for him and his parents. His much older brother, Neverli, would wander in from time to time when Nomerendal was a lad, but those visits became less frequent until the day a dozen years ago which was his last. His parents had seemed sad after that last brief visit and that next winter, their health took a turn for the worse. They both passed, never to see the spring.

2. Why did you leave home?
Nomerendal leads a lazy life. He inherited his parent's small cabin near a small river with a garden and a few hogs. He fishes in the morning and naps when it gets hot, and spends his evenings entertaining in Falcon's Hollow. He's never really been more than a few leagues from the small town... he's never had a need nor reason.

3. Why are you in the frontier town of Falcons Hollow and how long ago did you arrive?
Having spent the last two decades telling stories and singing songs about the accolades of heroes and heroines from places afar. Whenever a traveling minstrel - or any adventurer - would come to the Hollow, Nomerendal would commit to memory the stories, tales and songs which were shared. He eventually began to wonder why he didn't have any stories of his own? The gnome realized that his stories are mostly those borrowed from others and they are starting to sound rather old and tired... He needed some new material to work with!

He one day realized that there was really nothing holding him in the Hollow besides his little shanty by the river. He sold a few of his possessions that would fetch a bit of coin and spent it on some gear. He kept his pack with him at the local tavern where he usually played and waited for opportunity to poke its comely head through the door!

4. What is your characters primary motivation in life at this junction.
Nomerendal is looking for adventure. He has the desire to tell stories in which he's a major character, and wanderlust has entered his heart. Now that there seems to be a strange sickness in the Hollow, his empathy compels him to help out if he can. He seems to feel that adventure is right around the corner.

5. Success for your character would be what?
To have a tale that was his own would be a great accomplishment for the little bard. To be able to perform in places beyond the Hollow and have an audience in the palm of his hand, hanging on his every word, those being the telling of some great adventure... that would be his satisfaction and success. To grow a reputation and develop a following would be another lofty goal along with the uncovering of lost lore, discovery of forgotten places, and... perhaps... the vanquishing of a dangerous foe or two along the way.

Character Creation

1. Where are you from?
Lorn Dokler comes from the city state of Korvosa in Varisia. Given to the church of Pharasma and raised by a priest within the grand cathedral of Pharasma in the Gray district.

2. Why did you leave home?
Seeking adventure is the selfish answer. Spreading the faith and help the people, is the selfless one. As an agile youth, Lorn sought life, having had seen plenty of death and undeath in and around the cathedral. He found both out in the world however. He traveled east for sometime and even managed to get as far as Oppara and stayed there for some years before going west again.

3. Why are you in the frontier town of Falcons Hollow and how long ago did you arrive?
Just another place he visited on his journey, little did he know he wouldn't get any farther for 25 years. With plenty to do and need for him in the little town. He found a place and he quietly and quite accidentally, settled down. Will of Pharasma perhaps?


4. What is your characters primary motivation in life at this junction.
Bring new life into the world, guide the dying to the next world and seek out the perversion that is undeath as he has always done for years. But with this plague and the rumours of a haunted witches hut, more action must be taken to combat death. The balance has been disrupted. It is unnatural.

5. Success for your character would be what?
Success is to meet the mother of souls, having completed her work that she has set out for him in the mortal world. That she would embrace him and

Tanien is from the lakeshore city of Greengold in the Elven nation of Kyonin.


2. Why did you leave home?


He is the 4th son of a well-off merchant family. Due to his place in the family's line of
secession, his influence in the family business very low.  He has decided to strike
out to seek his own fortune is whatever way he can.


3. Why are you in the frontier town of Falcons Hollow and how long ago did you arrive?


Tanien has heard stories of the great human capitol cities.  He thought that they sounded interesting so he is following the river south to the Inner Sea since there are many capitols in that direction.   Falcon Hollow is just one of the first stop in that journey. He arrived a couple of days ago.


4. What is your characters primary motivation in life at this junction.

Tanien seeks an opportunity to better his position financially in order to finance the purchase of trade goods to start his own mercantile.


5. Success for your character would be what?

To get further to his goal of establishing his own trading company. However, priorities can change and being an elf, Tanien can afford to take his time.
