"The First Delve - The Adventure Whores"

...So... We can all start now? Or just the party known as The Adventure Whores?

Whoops, forgot to make that for The Adventure Whores group.

I've been waiting for you to post in town and let me know you were headed out. Anyway, check your PMs and I'll get you started if you're ready.

I have severe tendonitis in my right wrist. Need to rest it over the weekend. Expect a few delays.

My wrist is recovering. I'll update all groups tomorrow. It's just past midnight in my time zone, I need to get some sleep.

When I describe room sizes in posts, I'll always start with the north-south size then the east-west size, if applicable. Some rooms are oriented off the square, or are oddly shaped, in which case I'll do the best I can. I made the dungeon maps years ago for face to face gaming, where if the players wanted exact mapping details I could sketch out any oddities for them. It's not so easy to do in text. If you want your maps to be fairly exact, please ask for more details if you need it. I don't mind.

If you're in the States, I hope you enjoyed Thanksgiving! If elsewhere, hope you're having a great weekend.

I'm sitting here with a mountain of essays to grade, so don't expect updates until Monday morning (Eastern hemisphere)/Sunday night (Western hemisphere). :)

Okay, so I wasn't a TPK, but not through any brilliant play on my part. We let the paralyzed guy get eaten while we all ran away.

I did find a KEY, though. How are you guys doing?

I had the first death (with zero chance to do anything about it). Not proud of that. And I'm not in a position to go back and hire a replacement either. So I'm trying to do what I can until I've got something to show for it.

Sorry again for no posts over the weekend. I took my notes home from work this time, but just failed to find the energy to post when I had the time, or the time when I had the energy.

The good news is that the semester is almost over, and I should have plenty of time to post updates over the weekends in January and February, as well as during the week.

In reply to Dungeon Master (msg # 44):

Is there ANYONE on RPol who isn't either an educator or working on their doctorate or both?

It seems to come up constantly, every time anyone mentions anything about their real life doin's.

Are we ALL just educators (or working on doctorates or both)?

Got the PhD last February, so that's out of the way.

I know quite a few non-academics in other games, but yeah, there seem to be lots of teachers/professors/students here on RPOL!

And all groups are up to date.

Nope, just a stay-at-home dad here. Between my wife's disabilities and illnesses, and the kids, I don't have time to pursue a higher education. Heck, I can't even get the time to put together a live gaming group -- this is the only outlet I have for my hobby.

I used to teach junior high school (ages 11-14) and I ran the After-School Game Club - all board and card games, but when the building switched principals the new one shut us down, so for the last six or eight weeks until the end of the year we played Basic D&D.

I've mentioned I'm in the USA, and I know our DM is in South Korea - am I the only one on my side of the world here?

USA here too. The main reason I tend to post late is that I can't usually do any RPoLling until the kids are in bed.

I assume if you are literate, you are literate in all languages you can speak. If illiterate, you can speak but not read/write any known languages.

Groovy. Makes sense (in my opinion).

Re: Out of Character Thread

My wife, older son and I just went and saw The Last Jedi. It was pretty good. A lot better than The Force Awakens. Not as action packed as Rogue One, but high on the drama and pretty well done.

I'm going to be digesting what I just saw (and students are coming for consultations all afternoon) so I might not get your posts updated today.
