High Lonesome is a short campaign for
Deadlands Reloaded. It is set in southeastern New Mexico and utilizes the historical Lincoln County War as the backdrop for some of its pivotal events.
The game uses the current edition of the
Savage Worlds Deluxe rulebook, along with the setting rules given in the
Deadlands Reloaded Player’s Guide,
Deadlands Reloaded Marshal’s Handbook, and the
Stone and a Hard Place plot point campaign book.
Prospective players will benefit from having access to the
Deadlands Reloaded Player’s Guide.
In addition, players can make use of the character options provided in the
Stone and a Hard Place Player’s Guide, which is freely available for download from Pinnacle Entertainment Group.

As well, players wishing to portray

Note that
Metal Mages, who are primarily a Deseret phenomenon, are not appropriate for inclusion in this campaign. As well, augmentations are likely to be extremely uncommon in the southwest. However, if a player is
extremely interested in adding such gear, we can discuss the possibility.
The Last Sons plot point campaign provides new Edges and new powers specific to Shamans. If anyone is interested in incorporating any of those options into their character, please drop me a line.
As a campaign,
High Lonesome presents situations that involve both action and investigative problem solving. Characters with a balanced set of skills and abilities will fare well in contending with the obstacles the scenarios present. The game is structured to provide ample opportunities for role playing and for players to use their unique talents and abilities in combat.
