Geography
The kingdom of Albion is found on a headland at the western tip of the continent. Its geographical features have been shaped to an extent by an event known as the Cataclysm. The Cataclysm was an event that happened 3,000 years ago in which several unnatural creatures first appeared in Albion. The land of Albion is also quite mountainous. Mountain ranges span across entire territories, creating many valleys and mountain passes

The western parts of the land are covered with fertile plains, while the east has a much drier climate. There is small headland just south of the mainland with a small island to the west where the machine city of Xen is located.

There is a bay on the southeast side of Albion that was once land. The Cataclysm sank the entire region into the sea. A small island in the middle of the bay is the site of the Grand Cathedral, the headquarters of the Holy See.

Demographics
Humans are the dominant race in Albion. However, ruins scattered about the land suggest the elves once had burgeoning civilization in the area. As of today the elves are a race divided between two small kingdoms. Dwarves are the second most abundant race in Albion. They have three primary city states located across different mountain ranges in Albion. They also worked together with humans to build the machine city of Xen. There are small communities of halflings scattered a cross the plains of Albion and different nomadic tribes of Goliath that roam the different mountain ranges. Tiefling and Aasimar are extremely rare though have been seen within the cities of Albion.

Politics
Albion is ruled by an absolute monarchy. In this case, the King of Albion makes decisions for the future of the country. The royal family is aided by the Council of Magi, who are responsible for the well-being of the royal family. In terms of policy-making, parlament, made up of the aristocratic houses, assisted the King until the Midnight Masscre.

The Kingdom of Albion is divided into seven different territories. These were all former kingdoms before they were unified under one king 1,000 years ago. The royal family rules from Wyndham. The aristocracy is in charge of five territories of Albion; The Duchy of Garlan, The Grand Duchy of Lindenium, The Duchy of Lysilia, The March of Elysium, and Numinar. Aeradin is the seventh region ruled over by the elvish Summer Court with no intervention from the state.

The Summer Court is composed of the elvish King and Queen. They are advised by the High Druid and the Summer Knight is commander of its military might.

The dwarven city states are located underneath the three largest mountain ranges, and are connect to each other through subterranean road ways. For the past 2000 years the dwarves have been in conflict with the subterranean dark elves whose rogue kingdom of Tezzuran was established after the Elvish Civil War. Each of the city states is headed by one of the three primary dwarven clans and ruled by that clans Thain. The three clans are the Iron Heart, the Black Powder, the Storm Forged.

No Thain has complete power in their city and share the power with the House of Lords. The House of Lords is composed of the lesser clans within the cities and generally vote on the cities governing policies.

Tezzuran is second elvish kingdom and home to the Winter Court. It was created after the Elvish Civil War. The Winter Court is composed of the Queen who is advised by her predecessor simply known the Croan. The Winter Knight is kingdom's military commander.

Religion
There is one dominant religion in the kingdom of Albion, the church of Selene. The church came to prominence shortly after the Cataclysm that sank a large section of Albion into the sea and appearance of monsters in the land. They have a grand cathedral located on a small island in the bay where the Cataclysm was said to have taken place. The church has grown powerful enough the have its own army, the Holy Knights of Selene. They serve as protectors, mediators, and watchmen for the church. They are generally called upon as impartial arbiters to help settle disputes between nobility. The church of Selene is welcome in all areas of Albion except in the Aeriden where the elves pay homage to their gods.

The elves of the Summer Court worship a pantheon of that is headed by Oberon and his queen Titania. Oberon and Titania have many children and are worshiped according to the attributes that they encompass. According to elvish legend the royal line of elves in descended from the Oberon's sister, Luthene, who took the elvish hero Beren as her husband after he rescued her from the dark god Malchior.

Unlike there brethren in the Summer Court,  the elves of the Winter Court worship one goddes, the lionheaded spider known as Shara. According to legend she was the most beautiful of elven maidens and had many suitors that sought her hand in marriage.  Oberon's son, Corolin, was one of those suitors. She eventually agreed to marry him so long as he followed her three rules, that he be without fear, meanness, or jealousy. The last being particularly important because she had many lovers. Once he agreed to her terms she married him. During their wedding feast she poured a vial of spider's venom into his wine. During their wedding night he was paralyzed. She drained him of his blood and drank it. The blood granted her his diventy, but cursed her as well. Her body was changed to that of a giant spider with the head of a lion. Horrified by her appearance she begged Oberon and Titania to remove the curse from her. Enraged by her dark deeds they instead cursed her entire clan to forever be shunned by the sun. It was her family that became the elves of the Winter Court and they worship her as a goddess of destiny and magic.

The dwarves have no god or organized religion and instead lay tribute to legendary ancestors or paragons that exemplify what dwarves are capable of doing. These paragons include legendary smiths, warriors, and scientist that have in some way advanced or served dwarven society in some way that they are worth remembering.

Military
The Kingdom of Albion has diverse and strong military. Composed of elite knights and the gun-toting dragoons that is supported by the state alchemists and military magician. The pride of the Albion military was the air brigade of Lindinium. Lead by the Grand Duke Cecil Hale, the air brigade was responsible for the majority of Albion's victory during the Hundred Years Wars.

Albion's dragoons are an elite section of the military that wield guns on the battlefield. Original composed of light calvary, they have come include foot soldiers and airmen. Strengthening the dragoons are the elite gun mages that wield the powerful caster guns. With special shells created by alchemists, the caster gun is capable of firing spells from its barrels.

The Summer Court's military, while small,
is a force to reckoned with on the battlefield.  They are mostly known for their Arcane Archers and Eldritch Knights. These soldiers combine magical might and martial arts.

The backbone of the Winter Court's military is its dreaded Death Knights. Completely devoured to their goddess, these unholy warriors roam the battle field slaying their enemies with zeal.

The dwarven military might lays its ability to make gun powder and its use of golmes. While they are unable to use magic, they are able to construct machine of warrior that can be just as destructive.
