Akifira
Rahi
An eagle of sorts, recognizable by its ragged appearance. They are a rare sight. Akifira are usually found in mountains and valleys where the sun seldom reach. They hunt around dusk, swooping in on smaller Rahi and occasionally Matoran.
Capturing one while flying on a bird of your own is seen as one of the greatest feats a Le-Matoran can achieve.
Pura-Jaga
Rahi
A cave-dwelling scorpion with silver armor that is larger than a Matoran, but not as big as a Nui-Jaga. It is easily spotted even in the dark thanks to its glowing blue lights, but may be hard to distinguish from the glow of lightstones or underground fungi.
Pura-Jaga move around on multiple legs and search for small prey like Gafna, which they grab with their pincers and strike dead with their stinger tails. The scorpions will sometimes make a harsh and grating noise to intimidate its potential predators, whom they won't hesitate to ward off by striking preemptively with their stingers.
Like larger member of the Jaga species, Pura-Jaga also possess a type of venom used to weaken their prey.
Urumoka
Rahi
A creature native to the Rangi Motu underground. They are large and matte white salamander-like lizards, twice the size of a Matoran lengthwise. Onu-Matoran use them as swift steeds and to locate things in the mines.
As they are completely blind by nature, Urumoka are not at all inconvenienced by darkness or Nui-Jaga venom; in fact their dull grey eye lenses react to nothing at all. They instead rely on their great hearing and sense of smell to navigate in the dark.
