Into the stolen lands to route the bandits from their camp

Svetlana was awake early in the morning preparing a fine breakfast; with biscuits (butter, honey, blackberry jam, apple butter) bacon, eggs, and gravy.
The men at arms are eating (except the one on watch) as well as the two new helpers.

As the sun rises in the sky the group meets in the yard. You have checked over the horses making sure all of their tack is in good repair. The horses are of a sturdy breed, a calm disposition not easily spooked. The pack mule wouldn't blink an eye at a fireball. Once everyone has organized their packs.

Svetlana' offers you each a gift as you head out.  The thin bread like cakes seem dry but seem like a substantial meal in and of themselves.
She gives each of you 4 meals worth of Wandermeal.

A rough looking brown man with a salt and pepper  beard comes out from the kitchens with what you hope is a glob of gravy still in his bushy facial hair.  He grunts when he sees that you’re about to get underway and he himself rides out right before while you are still talking to Oleg and accepting Svetlana’s gift.

The man on watch reports he saw a shaggy headed and scrawny man come close by this morning.

“Oh that was the trapper Peotior or Peter as he is commonly know.  he brings in pelts that I ship up to civilization; he has been selling to me ever since I set up here; at least a month ago.  He don’t say much.”

To the guard
“Who did you see lurking about?”

Wiping away the last traces of grease on her chin, Octavia gives a nod of respect towards the departing trapper.

"For a man to survive on his own in the wilds of the Stolen Lands is surely a sign of the blessings of Gorum."

She smacks a hand painfully hard onto Drezghl's shoulder.

"Come, for we have many bandits upon which to deliver the full weight of Gorum's blessings to. Let your enemies not withstand your wrath. Gorumskagat, chapter 4, verse 3."

Tatyana had finished her breakfast after a few hours' rest, and thanked Svetlana heartily. She then made ready to depart by saddling her horse, looping the saddlebags behind the saddle, and made sure the bit & bridle. She was cantering the palomino out into the yard when she overheard the watchman's report.

"Shaggy-headed? Scrawny? How long ago was this? Where did you spot him, and which direction did he leave in?"

Raz looks back between Tatyana, the guard, and Ocatvia.

"Wait wait wait. Hold on. I believe we have a bit of an up-mix. I just saw the guy called Peter leave. Isn't that who everyone is talking about? That guy who was just here that everyone saw leave?"

He had a cartoonish look of confusion about him that made him look like an idiot but as he flailed around the smell of brew on his breath was obvious. It seemed the best way to avoid a hangover was a bit more in the morning.

Kesten steps forward and obtains the watchman report on the individual lurking outside Oleg’s a few minutes ago.  The description matches Bokken the potion maker.  The watchman states.
“I saw him and he saw me and he looked spooked and headed back into some brush around back.”

Oleg adds
“Sounds peculiar but Bokken is a strange one; Peter bought in a travois of furs this morning, leaving the poles behind and ate breakfast as he does.”

The elf was up at the break of dawn practicing with his sword. He would alternate between a dual fisted use to the more traditional single handed swing. Currently the only danger he was manifesting was toward tall blades of grass. As the breakfast was announced, he headed back in and overheard the discussion of the man outside, but made no immediate moves it comments. Anything he would have done it said ended up being moot anyway as the mystery seemed solved.

Finishing his meal, he does add one thing to the conversation. "When we return we should have a visit to Bokken. Not to threaten him, but to make him aware that things are changing and he'll need to announce himself for that point on. Now, if everyone is ready, we're wasting daylight."

The horse he'd picked up was a plain gray  gelding that seemed a bit flighty, as if it was ready to run at any moment, eager to get moving. Which for Filarion just fine.

"We could try to catch up with this Peter to see what he knows if the area, but I feel that we can't take to long."

You ride out of the gates, although you are thinking about the man in the brush and the man who just left; you catch up with Peter...

Catching up to (120 away) the bearded trapper named Peter,
He spins in his saddle an arrow at the ready.

The man yells at you:
"You lot following me?  It will be a long walk back to Oleg's; I will take your horse right out from under you!"

The man is gruff it is in his voice that you recognize that he likely has some hobgoblin in his bloodline somewhere, not a lot but enough to make you think he is pretty tough.

The man looks at you and grunts.

"There's plenty of dangerous animals in these woods. I've heard of a boar, Tuskgutter, that's torn men to pieces. In the hills there's some fighting between kobolds and mites. Both groups of the little buggers have a tendency to attack lone men.  There is also a radish patch near here and some territory I like to trap in.  Any further in and you are sure to be accosted by bandits or worse.  I tend to stay just NorthEast of Oleg's, plenty of game to be had."

The man describes what to you sounds like a large hunting territory within the following hexes: C,D,E both 2 and 3

He looks at your group....
"If your looking for trouble the bandits tracks go straight down to their camp; they are not hiding."

The elf nods, "I can respect your claim to that area. Would you be willing to allow others to hunt there? Maybe an opportunity to turn more coin then you're getting from just pelts. I'd be willing to bet you could take a few rich barons to hunt those boars. Also I'd like to try transplanting some of those radishes. I'll give you a cut of the proceeds from the first harvest if you'd like."

Before he can answer, the warrior says, "Don't answer just yet. Think on it. I won't be offended if you reject either or both offer. Just trying to be neighborly. Either way thank you for your time and information, but we have some bandits to put down."

Spurring his gelding, he'd named Linta, it jerks Filarion in its rush to run which produces a woop of excitement from the young elf. The young horse challenges the merger capabilities of it's rider as he holds on for dear life.

The idea did not sit well with him but for once he kept his mouth shut.

He left one of his donkey behind and traveled on first one with swan sitting behind him looking backwards.

The elf was happy to let others do the talking.

Tatyana respected the man's prowess, and thus gave no indication she was looking for a fight. Instead, she cantered her mount off to the side so that she could listen intently. She pulled out a small scroll and jotted down some notes with her charcoal pencil.

Tuskgutter - boar ravaging countryside.
Kobolds/mites in hills - fighting one another
Radishes - transplant?
Ample game for hunting/trapping to NE

She finishes and puts her materials back into a ready pocket.

Peter seeing that you are not after him continues to ride a straight line of the border between hexes E1 and F2;
Which would be down but to the right.

The bandit trail leads straight down the center of hex F2....

It takes you four hours to ride straight down the center of  hex F2 the land is grassy with few rocks and would be ideal for farming or grazing with rich soil.  At this point the bandit trail continues along the edge of the wood lines (the border between hex E3 an F3) you can see that way has been traveled by horseback over many different days.

If we ride along in the plains we will be more easily seen if we cut through the woods, we will have cover and possibly concealment but it will slow our progress to the camp. We will either arrive late this evening or early in the morning depending on which way you go..

"If we follow the path we now ride, we will arrive at the Bandit camp late this evening, but we may be spotted by their sentries and the camp will be awake.  If we move through the forest we would have less of a chance of being spotted, but we won't get there until early morning. They should mostly be asleep except for a couple of guards. The element of surprise would be on our side."

He starts to make some marks on the ground.

It the second map in Game Map.

This is map of the camp my friend has given me.
He thinks there are 20 bandit but word for twenty is same as word for anything between 15 and 25.  When your an animal it really make no different between the numbers.
Some of the bandit have hand weapons.   Some who shoot arrows.  Two men on platforms in the trees are lookouts.
Hopefully that should help us.

Her training let her ignore the ache in her muscles at the weight of her armor and sword, the growing numbness in her feet from standing.

None of it mattered, it was all just distractions from the upcoming battles and the glory she would bring for her god. While she waited she began whispering a mantra of battle to herself over and over again.

"May Gorum's skill guide my blade and may his strength smite my foes. May Gorum's skill guide my blade and may his strength smite my foes..."

Into the stolen lands to route the bandits from their camp

For those approaching stealthily
Though the bon fire had burned bright through most of the night approach the glowing fire. It's flames lick hungrily several feet into the air. It seems to have died down a bit from when it was first started. The camp is surrounded by dense brush and trees giving plenty of opportunity to stay out of site, but hindering movement. The shrubs and lower branches of the trees are too thick to move through without causing a lot of sound or taking extra time.

The stealthy approaches from the south east corner of the camp from their vantage point they can spot fourteen bandits sleeping on bedrolls spread around the fire. If they hadn't been given a heads up on the eastern watch tower it would have gone completely overlooked. It's nestled beside a sturdy oak twenty feet off the ground. Netting covered in leaves and branches hang down the sides of it. Only one guard can be seen at the post, but it's hard to tell.

The night is quiet except for the crackling fire and the snores of thieves. While approaching the camp the surprise
is foiled by the loose debris along the forest floor. Every few paces a twig snaps under foot, or a leaf is crushed.

One of the bandits rolls over towards you and props himself up on an elbow, "Hope it's not them damn owlbears again..."
He peers through the forest half awake and not even truly aware...
Bandit Active Perception Check vs. Stealth
1d20 ⇒ 4

"Maybe just a squirrel," he grumbles, falling back to sleep.

As you get closer and watch longer the archers are able to pick out two sentries standing up on the platform. A few leaves and branches are draped around them and they both seem to be looking the other direction, for now.

Feeling close to useless as he has yet to connect, Filarion double fistedly slashes at the bandit leader. Just as he does so, his boot slips on a patch of leaves thrusting him suddenly forward. His blade strikes true somehow and sinks in deep.

Three arrows fly, but only one struck true hitting Octavia; Rav returns the favor hitting the archer with an arrow....

Kressel makes a double attack and yet she too nearly slips down as neither attack hit anything.

Four bandits with shields move up to flank Kressel.

The two archers move to the last distant group and remain behind two bandits with shields

Tatyana grits her teeth and stabs forward with her blade, catching Kressel in the gut. She felt the bardic melody wash over her, and she felt the divine blessing of a god she knew heretofor little about - but both helped her connect.

She looks straight into the woman's eyes, feeling only a tiny bit of remorse. Why one so young chose such a life, she could not scarce imagine.

Raz manages to fire off an arrow without missing a beat in fact the bow string and the satisfying think of the arrow into flesh seems perfectly timed.

Tauron fires as well but his arrow misses the mark.

Tatyana had stayed back in the last few moments, trying to ascertain where the hatchet-wielding woman had gone; she had seemed to disappear under a cloud of shields, and Taty had backed off ten or fifteen feet to put some distance between them and herself.

But then she saw the woman crawling into the bushes nearby!

Without further consideration, she charged the woman's location, as quietly as death itself, and swung down with her blade!

She hears her blade pierce armor, skin, and bone with a sickening crunch! Just for added emphasis, Tatyana twists her blade once it is firmly lodged in the woman's back.

Re: Into the stolen lands to route the bandits from their camp

As you survey the camp you find a covered area of stolen goods piled on top of an old beatdown wagon and covered with a tarp.

On Kressel you find;
1 potion of cure light
studded leather armor
2 masterwork handaxes
4 daggers
a silver necklace shaped like the head of a stag
85 gp

The three hog-tied bandits eye you suspiciously but have not said a word.

Treasure: The bandits’ spoils, kept hidden under less interesting supplies like food, firewood, and tents on the wagon, currently include 321 sp, 90 gp, a pair of silver earrings worth 150 gp, a wooden music box worth 90 gp, three crates of furs and hides worth 50 gp per crate, and a polished wooden case of potent greenish herbal liquor. There are still eight bottles with liquor left in them.

You also find a second platform in the trees where a lookout would be posted. A small iron pot sits there, and the thunderstone is missing.

The sun has risen and it is early morning.

The middens smells foul as it is sorted through. Nothing interesting is found there....

An extensive search finds a second field of caltrops that can be gathered up as well as a fishing net and some seasoned firewood stacked under a tree.  And a shovel near the latrines and middens ...

Feel free to begin interacting with the captured bandits as well

Re: Into the stolen lands to route the bandits from their camp

At this point Raz is plucking on a guitar he had summoned as he walks up and down the line of captured bandits. He plucks a piece on it to create a musical accompaniment to his words, using it to help put the proper mood in place as he addresses the captured bandits.

"Right now, you see, that woman over there is planning to take your heads. I don't know if you know this but her whole family was killed by bandits and she likes to stack the heads of thieves and murderers into a little skull altar for her god of war. You heard her shouting during battle, do you really think that would stop because your blades are down? No, she will take your heads off one by one..."

Raz walked up and down, making eye contact with each and every one of the bandits as he gives them a sad look and plucks a somber tone from his guitar. It sounds almost like a funeral dirge given it's slow pace and minor key.

"Now, luckily for you there is hope. A single path that might allow you to escape these woods with your head still on your shoulder..."

The guitar strums, picking up tempo and shifting to major chords to emphasize the emotion of hope and possibilities.

"Tell us what you know about the Stag Lord. If you make yourself useful and valuable, repent your wicked ways and pledge to repay Oleg for the damages done to his outpost then maybe...maybe you can earn a bit of mercy from one of my companions here that doesn't worship such a bloodthirsty deity...maybe. Be quick about it though as we will not be able to stay that one's blade for long..."

In classic good cop fashion, Raz offers the bandits a path to their salvation, possibly even redemption. He is, of course, bullshitting them. The charter clearly stated to execute bandits and even if he wanted to he had no real confidence that he could persuade Octavia from killing all the bandits however so long as the bandits thought there was hope they might be willing to offer up their knowledge before the cleric's sword found their neck.

The wind begins gently picking up and sweeping across the plains and into the woods.  Today will be a windy day, blowing (right to left) across the game map.  It will only really effect scent based upwind/downwind and candles/tindertwigs.

Raz smirks as Tucker begins talking and again nods at the angry looking cleric sharpening her blade.

"Well then Tuck, short for Tucker. Start talking. I'm listening. We all are. Tell us about your now dead bandit leader, tell us about this Stag Lord stomping around saying this land is his. Tell us where the goods you stole from that nice trading couple is. Tell us where that wedding ring your boss stole from that lovely woman is and maybe we will be moved by your words to stay the executioner's blade.

The bottom line is, the more you talk, the better the chances are you say something that will keep you alive."

He pauses and considers the rest of the line of bandits.

"And as for the rest of you, Tuck short for Tucker is currently in the lead. We do not know if this is a race or not but if it is, he is in the lead. Consider that when you take measure of what you have done in your lives, and how much longer you wish that life to extend."

Octavia could care less about what the mouthy bard had to say. He might have gotten one of them talking but in her eyes and the eyes of Gorum the price must be paid. The tree stump would bath in blood. Satisfied her blade was sharp enough she walked over to a random bandit, one who stared too long in her direction or did not cower at her presence and she pointed at him.

"You. You will be the first."

If we don't report to him or one of his cronies, like Kressle, on a regular basis then he's got a tendency to make an example of you. The man's a bloody drunk, the booze under the platform was for him so Kressle would get on his good side. Maybe promote her to work in the Fort proper. Even s**tfaced though he's the most fearsome fellow around."

One of the other bandits looks confused…."Oleg? He's that merchant up north isn't he? The guy Happs been hustling. Speaking of which he'll probably be showing up soon." He looks around… "Are you guys going to kill him too? He was kinda dumb, really licked Kressle's boots when they weren't shagging."

"Well aren't you a righteous lot. You're right, I'm a thief I stole back in the city when my family was too poor to eat. I stole when the Swordlords taxed us into the ground. I stole when the collectors came and took my father when he fell sick and couldn't work enough. Sometimes I'll steal a look at a pretty lady, and sometimes I'll steal her heart. Is that evil?"

Octavia shrugs off Drezghul's hand from her shoulder and glares contempt down at the prisoners.

"Listen to them. They are mewling babes not worthy of mercy. I intend to raise an army of soldiers, not a rabble of thieves and murderers. Tell me Drezghul, if a bandit put a knife to your throat and told you to rape, murder, and pillage would you? Or would you stare death in the face and accept your fate to preserve who you are. These vermin will shift their allegiances along whatever easy path is presented. You accept them into your ranks and they will run away or slit your throat at their earliest convenience.

I hear no signs of repenting. I hear no pledges of redemption. I hear only fear and weakness and Gorum and the Swordlords. I see not soldiers but thieves and rapists. I see Imira's face, blooded and broken. I see only enemies who deserve only justice."

"I don't much care for the Stag Lord and his men. I'll tell you what I know. Perhaps if you cut the head of the snake the rest of the coils can relax. These men can go back to being hunters and trappers. I am not that snake and can be of use."

"The Staglord lives in some old ruins overlooking Tuskwater lake. There's a few watch towers that are always manned, but really only one way up the hill to his fort. You see the hills are haunted. Anyone who steps off the one trail is attacked by waves of undead. Mindless corpses who drag anything that steps on their soil into the ground. I saw the Stag Lord throw a man off the walls and be torn apart with my own eyes. I don't know about special powers other then he drinks like a fish and never takes his helmet off."

He pauses to cough, specs of blood showing on the stump in front of his lips. ”Guess I am not going to live much longer no matter what…”  His voice trails off weakly, his teeth have a red tint of fresh blood…..

”…..For all I have done I have never killed a man in his sleep.”

Tauron had for the most part listened to what was going on but taken no real interest in the bandits.  He was more interested in his new friend and finding food for it.  He was also exploring the outer areas of the camp.
However with words of Tucker he turns and walk back to what happening.

With his two animal friends behind him.
He turns to Octavia Cassiana.
I think you do not understand the words you speak.  You clearly do not understand what the meaning of the word mercy is.

He then turns to others.
I like this not at all.  Under the turns of why we are here I understand we have right to take the bandit life's.  But good people only take a life when there is no other option. To remove a clear evil like the bandit leaders.  I will not stop you.  I know humans have there ways and for an elf they are not easy to understand.

His eye fall on Filarion Petxalim raising and eyebrow at the other elf willingness to go along with what is happening.

I am told that divine magic can tell if a person is truly evil and maybe deserves punishment or if they just acted to survival which is natural instinct of most creature.

He shacked his head.  I have said my words.  I just hope that such actions do not start you down the road to becoming nothing more that like the very leaders of these bandit who clearly did not have kindness in their hearts.  slaughtering other is that slaughtering other what ever the reason given.

He turns to his two animal friends.
Come let leave them to this dark deeds.  I like this not at all.

Then lastly to Tucker.
I am sorry.  May somehow your soul find peace.
Then the odd elf walks of to carry on his search of outer part of the camp.

Tauron head back to the group very quickly at the noise.
He turns to Octavia Cassiana and his look not good one.
Well Lady Octavia it seems your going to get lesson in nature and prove your battle honor all in one.  One of the reason for not killing unless you have to is dead bodies and blood attracts predictor and vulchers.  Either of which are helpful to have around.  Seems like your blood letting many have gained us a new friend.

That noise is a adult Owlbear.  They like rabid foxes.  They kill until either what they can smell is dead or they are.

He places himself in middle of the clearing bow ready with an arrow in it.

He turns to Tatyana.  How quickly can you get up on one them platforms.  You maybe able to see how close it is and which way it coming from.  Filarion can you find somewhere to bury the body so smell of it's blood does not draw the creature to us if has not done so already.  We may get lucky.  Either way it problem we going to have to deal with sometime.

He turned and started to trot back to the camp fire area where they sprang their ambush.

"You two, get back to work. We may have to leave on a hurry." , he shouted at the prisoners.

Tatyana nods to Tauron and shimmies up a nearby tree to the platform atop it. She listens as the screeching howl echoes again ...

"It's all right, everyone. That is indeed an owlbear, but too far distant to be much of a threat right now.  But still ... the scent of so many bodies will carry far. We need to get them organized and burned, or buried, as you choose. But it needs to be soon."

With another glance around the surrounding area, she moves to the nearest trunk and slides back down.

Her gaze immediately falls on Filarion. In a deadly-serious tone, she says only, "be careful what you wish for," before moving to help get rid of the bodies.

Relieved that they had some time, Filarion got busy dragging the corpses into a pile with the two bandits and anyone else who joined in. Using an already established fire pit, he worked to clear the immediate area of anything that might set the forest ablaze. It was hard work, but he got it done as efficiently as possible.

The trip back to Oleg's is uneventful, except for the ongoing wind that has been blowing across the plains.

It is nearly nightfall when you can see Oleg's in the distance.  Despite the wind there are two watchmen posted in the towers.

The gate hangs half open with heavy rope still the primary thing holding the gates upright.

You hear the clear din of a cowbell coming from the fort as apparently that is the warning system now in place.

By the time you arrive at the gates. Oleg, and Kesten Garess (the commander of the men at arms) and the other two guards meet you at the gate.

Oleg: "What Word?"

Svetlana peeks out the door "Oleg! let them in they look half starved!"
Oleg grumbles

A small boy dressed in tattered clothing comes out with a brush...
"I ken rub down yer horses an stable em."

Re: Into the stolen lands to route the bandits from their camp

While at Oleg's the former bandits and the men at arms are talking in low voices.

One of the former bandits keeps nervously checking the perimeter of the fence, low near the ground....
One of the guards notices "Looking for a bolt hole, Asshat?"

"Nah he's scared that old boar Tuskgutter is going to get him!  He had a near miss already in fact"

"The what now?"

"Tuskgutter a wild boar who lairs just over the thorn river across the rickety bridge"

One of the bandits adds in....
"Just below our camp is where he lairs, we had a run in or two with that one. They already dealt with Kressel her an tha pig are much alike."
The bandit laughs at his own humor......

Oleg: ”I received word from the SwordLords, they have delivered this document…”
Oleg unrolls a parchment on the table……”This was sent to you and is based on the information they have received from the other missions.”

Re: Into the stolen lands to route the bandits from their camp

Tatyana had remained behind at the fort to settle up with Oleg for the latest round of gear brought from the bandit's camp. Once that was settled, she made herself useful around the fort - either keeping an eye on the former-bandits pressed into service, hunting in the area around the fort for game, and discussing matters with the new Captain.

However, now Oleg had mentioned a document from the Swordlords. Tatyana stands over the table and reads the missive.

Re: Into the stolen lands to route the bandits from their camp

The document outlines the four current groups that are currently chartered by the swordlords.

Glenebon Uplands: The swordlords sent a relatively experienced band of adventurers known as the Iron Wraiths into the Glenebon Uplands, charging them with purging the hills of the Tiger Lord barbarians and, eventually, to make diplomatic contact with Pitax to work out border issues.

Nomen Heights: The centaurs of the Nomen Heights have always been trouble, and in an attempt at a show of force, the swordlords sent a group of mercenaries led by one of their own, a low-ranking but eager-to-impress swordlord named Maegar Varn to establish a town and make peace with the Nomen centaurs.

The Slough: The East Sellen River runs through the swamps known as Hooktongue Slough. As the most vital trade route from the south, this area has been the most important to Brevoy—as a result, a large group of diplomats and high-ranking soldiers has been sent into this area to ensure the trade route is open and safe.

It is safe to assume that the other groups have received a similar update to include you who are currently chartered to explore the greenbelt....

Also some important quests are included in the missive from the swordlord

Drezghl read through the documents.

"We should send a dispatch back with the next caravan to declare our victory over Kressel and her gang as well as freeing Imira from them as their hostage.  Perhaps hearing that 30 were killed as opposed to 10 would loosen the purse strings a bit. Especially if Oleg or Captain Garres include a statement to that as fact. "

Re: Into the stolen lands to route the bandits from their camp

Oleg finishes creating a new wanted poster of his own:

 Head of a Tatzylwyrm
Source: Wanted poster at Oleg’s Trading Post
Task: The way everyone talks about tatzlwyrms, one might think they’re swarming throughout the Stolen Lands. This isn’t the case; they’re actually quite rare. A tatzlwyrm head would be a great conversation piece at Oleg’s. He has promised a reward for anyone who can deliver one.
Completion: Slay a tatzlwyrm and deliver its head.
Reward: Oleg will pay 600 gp for a relatively undamaged tatzlwyrm head.

"And it looks like the swordlords have sent an additional paper..."

Kobolds in the Hills
Source: Wanted poster at Oleg’s Trading Post
Task: The Sootscale kobolds dwell in a cave somewhere in the Kamelands. Normally not a problem, they’ve been riled up by something lately.
Find their lair and ensure that the kobolds aren’t going to continue being a threat.
Completion: Either slay the kobolds or forge an alliance of peace with them.
Reward: The swordlords send a reward of 800 gp once the kobold activity is under control.

Oleg:
"Not a bad idea, I am sure that they will release the funds in due time.  Will you lot be ordering anything this go around?"

A half elf made his way up towards them, having clearly come from Oleg's. He nodded at Imria as he approached as though he knew her. He walked with a degree of stealth and care, but made sure to make himself visible to the PC's as he approached, and that his weapons were away.

"Hi Imiria. My crossbow is tuned now, and I thought you might want a little help."

"Of course. I still owe you for that whole kobold business from a while back. I'm not sure if I'd have made it out alive if you hadn't been there."

He looked over at the horse, with some trepidation.

"Much obliged."

He was not a natural rider. He'd been raised in elven lands, and elven horses did NOT like him. Tathaln didn't have much riding experience. Thankfully, this horse was just a regular one, and was clearly decently trained. His natural grace at least helped him get into the saddle without looking like a git.
