3.1: The Academy Arcadia
Nestled the southern neighborhood of Lakeside, the Arcadia Academy was a small private school bounded on three sides by a forest and overseen by the formidable first peak of the Atlas Mountains, mount Stanley.
The campus is picturesque and said to be a mirror image of the estate of the late 19th Century. The frontage provides that image, with manicured lawns and a central Victorian-style brownstone building as the Administations building.
The Arcadian Academy was no more than a decade old. Prior to it's current incarnation, the grounds were the site for a Bohemian-style educational experiment. The school fell on hard-times in the past decade after word of a scandal emerged, and newcomer Tech billionaire Maximillian Mars joined the board of directors and initiated a hostile takeover. Now, after a couple of years of exdtensiv remodeling, the Arcadia Academy has been in operation for almost five years.
It is not widely known that the school is specifically for the metahumanly gifted. But it is widely known that there is a sizable metahuman population at the school.
BY the time they arrived, class was out of session. There were a couple of teenagers throwing a football back and forth, a few people sitting on the grass. But mostly, the grounds were quiet, pastoraly serene, and undisturbed.
