Re: OOC Chat
Mind describing a little bit more about what you mean by the monolith following her?

Re: OOC Chat
It happen only when Lucy was looking north; to get a better view, she needed to walk past the half monolith, so it moved an inch or two forward, like it was reading itself to slide down. It didn't move when/if Lucy retreat toward the center of mountain.

Clearer?

Re: OOC Chat
Do I understand correctly that Lucy is going down the slope? And then going left and right to test the monolith?

If my understanding is correct: what would be the last temptation the monolith would create that would break Lucy resolve?

Re: OOC Chat
From the way I read it, the Monolith was inching forward to begin its descent when it looked like Lucy was leaving, and that was the extent of her influence.

I might be wrong, of course.

Re: OOC Chat
Lucy's basically desperate at this point, and very annoyed. She's planning on seeing how much it follows her left and right, and then she'll be forced to give up and sit down on it. I intended to have my post basically mention that she was going to jump on after her experiment, but it wasn't super clear. Sorry about that. Been brain drained from excessive work hours lately.

Re: OOC Chat
Everything came through and we were able to close on the house! We are now proud homeowners.

I am still here, and still wanting to participate, but the next three weeks are going to see me grouchy and exhausted every day with the move, since I am doing most of it myself. My wife is disabled, and I am retired, so we are taking our time and doing it slowly.

I promise I will post something at least once every two days-- anything more than that will have to be and unplanned bonus. Please don't hold up the game waiting for me.

Re: OOC Chat
How fast are we going, and is there any kind of magical field to protect us from the wind/velocity, or is it pretty much like going at speed downhill in a bumpy convertable?

Re: OOC Chat
It is a magical field that protect all of you from the wind and the velocity (so you aren't stock to the end of the bench). The non-diziness protection is part of the magical charm.

For speed, the slope is about 75 km long, and it took 10 minutes to get half-way so about 450 km/h or 280 mph.

After checking this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?...re=youtu.be&t=65 is it probably less dizziness inducing that I initially though...

Re: OOC Chat
With that, I conclude the weird introduction that doesn't fit well with the rest of the game ;) No more magical compulsion without someone casting a spell on you, no more flaming horizon, just you trying to survive and adapt to Karthun :)

Don't worry, I'll wait :)

I changed a little my last post: you are going west (toward unknown territory), not east (toward the fire horizon).

Re: OOC Chat
I hope not, I'm not ready to add new players yet :(
And they will have miss all the glory of the fire horizon ;)

Well, except if you are comfortable by being only you 2.

Unrelated question, if you what to answer: the fishermen and women are arguing about what to do with something unusual (but not an threat to themselves) they caught today, what it is?

I will add some Aspects to the scene (probably Tuesday night), because I forgot them again.
I'm thinking along the line of "Stress Out by Their Catch", "It Is Almost Dusk".

Re: OOC Chat
How about some valuable salvage? Like piece of armor made of a valuable metal or a boot/bag full of coins?

Re: OOC Chat
Salvage, but sinister. Maybe cursed. Like an evil looking suit of armor, or unholy artifacts of an ancient evil god.

Something that is valuable, but might be more trouble than its worth.
