Playable Races

Human - adaptable, versatile and prolific, the relatively short-lived humans accomplish much with their allotted time.

Fierce fighters, formidable mages and clever engineers, there is nothing the human cannot do, and do well.

For all their good qualities, they have their flaws. Greed, overconfidence and the lust for power name but a few. Easily swayed by the promise of fast profit, they can be disturbingly ruthless.

Playable Races

Dwarf - classically gruff and prone to maudlin self-reflection, the dwarf is a steadfast force in any endeavor they pursue. Short and stocky, their stature is to be underestimated by the foolhardy alone.

Long generations of swinging picks and hammers, they have developed muscle densities to rival that of the preferred material of their ancestral homes: stone.

A solid mind also accompanies the dwarf, often overlooked due to a propensity for ultra-dry sense of humors.

The dwarf will stop at nothing to protect friends and family. Woe be to those that molest the dwarf's own.

Playable Races

Halfling - keen eyes, nimble fingers and a quick wit are the trademark of any self-respecting halfling.

Deadly to a fault with practically any missile weapon they choose to pick up. The skillful halfling sends his enemies to the Dark Lands still unaware of his own death, so quick and quiet was the passage.

The halfling represents the very epitome of big things in small packages, as the keen mind and inhuman agility team up to make for a formidable individual.

Good with money and good with machines, more likely than not a large and successful business, if you trace it up through the ranks far enough, will be headed by a halfling.

Playable Races

Elf - lithe and clever, the elf champions the natural world and all that it entails. Long-lived and clear headed, they avoid trivial things and wealth holds little value in elf culture.

Favorite pastimes include: the arts, pursuit of knowledge, leisure sex, and laughing at humans, who they view as hyperactive rodents.

The elf is the master of herself, commonly eschewing weapons in favor of devastating martial arts techniques woven seamlessly with magic.

The wispy and ethereal beauty of the elf hides a savage beast once proper, and unwise, measures have been taken to awaken it.

Playable Races

Stirsi - this short-legged, long-armed, and evil-tempered race hide stupid amounts of potential in everything violence-related. Coarse, rude, and ill-mannered, these wild people have zero respect for authority and will happily ruin the day of any individual with the sorry misconception that they will entertain anything that even remotely smacks of orders.

Under normal circumstances you would dismiss their brash shouting, wild gesticulations and bluster for nothing more than the behavior of a primitive species with little happening in their heads than: fight, fuck and eat.

Behind this is an extremely complex matriarchal society that takes extreme pleasure in dancing around the subtle. The stirsi are the only race that can hold their own against the elves in hand-to-hand combat.

Little else is known about the stirsi, as they do not follow societal norms and are bull-headed enough to give dwarves aneurysms.

Short and wiry, these people climb like deer run. Covered in a fine coat of multi-colored fur, which they augment with dyes and fetishes, they are at home in any type of climate and have a toughness and will to live that frighten the gods.

Playable Races

Tiwatu - this long-limbed and partially-quadrupedal race of nomads travel their native grasslands herding their spirit animal, the goshi. A tiwatu is never without their birth-bonded goshi.

Bladed weapons, the way they move and the way they sing, are the very backbone of tiwatu culture. Their bodies, their minds and their weapons are meant for high-speed and interaction with 'normal' races makes them bored and tired due to having to slow themselves down to deal with it.

The tiwatu move in mysterious patterns seemly at one with the natural forces of the weather and terrain.

Some say they are the reason the floating islands exist, being the only place they can run with the wind. Others say they can phase into a different plane when they move.

They remain largely a mystery.

However, they operate at vibrations magnitudes above you if you know what money, politics, borders, or power, means.

Fucks they have to give about you: most likely zero.

Playable Races

Kuruthai - this coastal race of people are the musicians of the world. Ideally suited to moving with the capricious ways of the water, they have a knack for patterns, making them deep thinkers and followers of the abstract.

Their difficult-to-follow-prose and love of long-winded essays make them excellent and impartial chroniclers of history.

This gift also makes them formidable in ways hard, ironically enough, to put into words. Being capable of "thinking around corners" a kuruthai is rarely surprised, by anything.

A kuruthai is deeply rooted in the rhythm of water. Water can give, and water can take away.

Their elongated and webbed feet give them a particularly measured gait upon land, but should not be mistaken for clumsiness. As in all things, they are counting the beats.

In water, their delicate gills and extendable pressure ridges give them the freedom of the waves.

Playable Races

Jaloo- this bipedal race of humanoids stand head and shoulders above humans, most commonly having a burly build. Their overwhelming strength of limb is outdone only by their uncommon wisdom and knack for woodscraft.

Covered in long shaggy fur unless trimmed, these people are comfortable in even the most frigid climates. Adorning their head are swept back antlers made of a semi-flexible cuticle. Tribal pride dictates they mold the antlers into specific shapes.

Strong and agile for their size, they enjoy wrestling above all other sport.

Playable Races

Chouette- a strange people said to have evolved from avian stock. Instead of hair, fine feathers cover much of their bodies with the exception of specialized and hardened feathers that lay flat behind the forearm.

The chouette can extend these feathers at lighting speeds adding another lever arm to strikes, taking unknowing adversaries off guard.

While not able to fly, absolute control over their feathers does allow them to glide for short distances.

These people call the floating islands of the South their home, gliding easily from roost to roost.

Courageous to the point of madness, the slim and wiry chouette makes a fearsome enemy.
