Flo jacks in

After days of running, scrapping, and scrambling Flo finally finds himself with a moment alone in the cockpit. The Kel-Dor breathes a sigh of relief, sets the controls to auto-pilot and kicks up his boots. He lights a death stick, takes a long drawl, and opens his personal holo. Within moments, Flo is deep within the dark corners of the holo-net with one thing on his mind. The same, burning question that has gnawed at him for years. Who killed his cousin? Who killed Plo Koon?

The betrayals of order 66 were well-known, if undocumented. As were Plo’s skills as a pilot. What kind of clone pilot could have brought him down? Who could win a dogfight with a Jedi?

Flo had picked up a few slicing tricks from lice and, before long, found himself deep into “classified” records of the clone wars. Pilot licensing records, deployment history, confirmed kills, Flo poured over all of it burning through death sticks as he went.

“Looking for something?” The message popped onto the holo-dash like a heart attack. Flo panicked, quickly exiting the databases he had so carefully burrowed into. Anyone who had been keeping tabs could have easily pieced together his agenda. He was looking for imperial pilots, ace ones. Flo took a breath. Could he have blown his cover so soon? The message just sat there, staring back at him. Eventually, curiosity got the better of him.

“Who’s asking?” Flo paced the cockpit, awaiting a response.

“Could be a friend. Depends. IMP?”

It was an old slicers trick. Anyone not in the know would answer no, whether they were really an imperial or not. Flo took the chance.

“ Yes, Individual Malevolently Plotting.”

“Good. If you want to know more, meet here.”

The coordinates were unfamiliar and the date fast approaching. Flo quickly tracked them down. Alderaan, the royal palace, same day as the royal gala. Can’t be a coincidence, Flo thought. He sat back, lighting one last death stick. Looks like I have a party to crash.
