Character Creation and Information Regarding Leveling
Below info is subject to change as I gauge its application in the game. Anything from d20pfsrd.com that states 3PP, is not allowed. Paizo only. Anything I do is not subject to this rule. But more than likely I'll also never step outside of Paizo.




We will be using the 25 point buy system. If you would like to, for some reason, start that one stat you absolutely must have at 20, you can spend all of your points in that one stat to do so. All 25 points. For races that do not have an INT score, default at -7 to the stat. All racial bonuses and penalties apply after the point buy system.

Example:

10 in all stats. I'm a Lantern Archon -8 to str. For some reason, I put all 25 points into str making my base a 20. After Lantern Archon racial, it is now a 12.

This is a MAX HP game. It is just simpler that way and I'm not TRYING to kill anyone.

All characters start with 5 feats, YOU MUST QUALIFY for your feats to have them. No free starting racial traits but you can exchange a feat per two racial traits you would like(same as the feat ability). You do not automatically get the feats from the stat block of whatever you play. You only get 5 that you pick, in which  you must qualify.



If you die you will be reborn again 1 rank lower than what you have achieved. It will cost half as much to get back to the rank you were previously. If you die again before you acquire your rank again, you drop another rank and can get back to where you were for half the rank requirements. Example:

Player X is rank 6. Player X died in the Blood Wars. Player X is reborn immediately in their home plane as a rank 5, by the Battleground Gates. If player X has enough soul points (requirement half) to level, they may do so. If Player X dies again, dropping to rank 4, they may level up to rank 5(the previous rank held) for half cost. If you are a rank 1 and die, you will be reborn again as a rank 1.




Ranking System and Soul Points:
Stay tuned will be updating periodically.

Players will gain 1 soul point per monster killed of opposition. Monster CR must be no less than 3 lower to gain point. If a player is killed, 5 SP will be gained. SP 1/2 in regards to death and releveling. Roleplay situations will be judged on case by case basis for now. Roleplay must benefit the cause. More so if you benefit the cause(The Blood Wars) while outwitting the tertiary race.

Example: you and your party engage the opposition. Total opponents 8. 1 is a player. All within -3 CR of you or higher. If you make it out alive, even if you did the least amount of damage, you walk away with 12 Soul Points. Almost enough to get to CR 4.

Replace XX with your total SP acquired. For now, 00.

Additionally, you may spend Soul Points like currency with an exchange rate of 1 SP = 1,000 GP.





All characters will use the Wealth of a level 3 character(3,000GP). For equipment, this is not a Humanoid dominant game. As such, ignore rules for gear by size and shape(like how barding for a horse is way more expensive than a human). For purposes of this game, just buy equipment as you would pay for a medium human creature. The standard rate.

You will get all the abilities of the animal. You will have a Base 3 int(-7 to int score) if monster states lower(such as 2 or nil). If your animal starts higher(such as 5) use the correct penalty for that stat. IE: Stat block shows 5-6 INT, -4 to the stat after you use your 25 point buy.

If you need assistance with figuring out Ability scores for your animal, use your RTJ PM thread or reach out in OOC so either I or players may assist you. Use the BAB, HD, Saves etc of Animal and not Outsider. So 3/4 BAB, D8 HD. etc. Celestial and Fiendish templates do not change the base stats of the creature.
